The team seems to support him more than they ever did for Ray. I know we are rebuiling, but I love the straight bill!

I agree.  I'm not even sure Ray will be a better closer than Sherrill (on ability alone) after surgery.  Before the injury he certainly was but that X-factor to me is a good reason to keep "flat breezy" around.

I didn't like Ray's control. I don't think Ray has the control to be a closer. I'll take him as a setup man, and If he isn't traded Sherril as the closer. It could have been his injury that caused his wildness.

I'd be more inclined to take Chris Ray as our closer if he stops that very very violent delivery that put him on the DL. But on the other hand i wouldn't mind seeing him set up for george sherill or Jim R. Johnson in the ninth for that mattter

After Sunday's blown save can we please move him back to the setup role. I prefer Jim Johnson as the closer for now maybe Ray later.  I know George has only blown 4 saves thus far but he really scares me. It's never 3 up 3 down I know it's not easy but c'mon.

I'm not saying this because Sherrill just blew the Nats game, but I dont think this keeps up with him.  He's not over-powering and it just seems that he wont look like this in the 2nd half.  Trade him while his stock is the highest.

First off, Sherrill has mostly been awesome for us all year ... no doubting that.
Secondly, I seriously doubt that he will save 50 games - with or without a flipped O's bill on his head.

I really like this guy, and he has been a huge part of our 1st half success.  But I have to agree - his trade value is so high right now, that the O's almost have to bite if presented with a favorable offer.  I wouldn't mind seeing George stay, mind you, I just think we are primed to cash in on his success.
