I'm just so sick of reading articles written by Mike Freeman. I'm not even being biased or anything else just leave Manny alone. The guy plays baseball well, beyond that give him a break, everyone does stupid things in their life and makes mistakes. People learn and others do not, but I feel like the only time Freeman brings this stuff up is when teams or players are doing bad. I guarantee that if the Red Sox weren't in second place right now he would not have written this article. P.s. I hate the Red Sox with a passion so don't even bring up the excuse that I'm a Red Sox lover, cuz the Yankees are where my heart is. TY Freeman now please go write for Enquirer or something.

Let me get this straight. You just said because he plays baseball well, he should not be responsible for his actions?
Manny is a fool, a fool with a terrific swing yes. But that doesn't make him above the law. Well I guess it does to the no-moralled red sox.

People learn and others do not...
Yep, they usually learn when they realize there are ramifications for their actions. Oh wait, I wonder if THAT might be the reason Manny hasn't learned that this behavior is bad.
I'm so glad you weren't on the Rae Carruth jury. After all, he was a good football player, so based on your logic, he did something stupid, and should have been allowed to get away with murder (literally).

This is amazing logic. For instance, I am a good computer programmer, so I should get a break. If for instance, I ask my 60-year-old secretary to get me a cup of coffee and she responds that unfortunately we're out, by virtue of me being a good computer programmer, I should be allowed to shove her to the ground. Thanks to you, I feel so free. Next time someone tells me that I can't have my way, I'll just punch them and then say, "Hey, I'm a good computer programmer. You need to give me a break. I'm just Senoy being Senoy."

I'm just so sick of reading articles written by Mike Freeman. If you don't want to make Freeman's day, you might want to avoid admitting that you read his articles enough to be sick of reading them.

News flash! Then don't read his work.
Manboobs is an over weight primadonna that thinks his sh/t doesn't stink. The other posters said it best and I don't need to repeat there excellent posts, but the guy needs to be accountable, bottom line.
And for God sakes, lose some weight and cut the hair and at least look like a professional if you're not going to act like one.
Way to look the other way on this tool Boston.

In soccerpl19's defense, he did say 'beyond that give him a break', not implying that anyone should be given a break because of his baseball swing. Like everyone else, I think he should be disciplined as much as possible, but we have to accept that it will never happen. Baseball is a business first, a competition second, and a legal/moral platform as a distant third. He puts fans in the stands and helps his team win, so I doubt we'll see any repercussions for him anytime soon.
