The Clippers were quick to pounce, offering a long-term deal to the oft-injured

Yeah and im sure that this was in the works much earlier than monday opt out event.

Clippers will suck as they will mortgage the future on two oft-injured players and surround them with cheap no future talent.  My guess clips will do good the 1st year but thereafter will rot as they see baron going to hollywood parties over practice and injuries.

If you are referring to Elton Brand as being "oft-injured" you should check your facts about how many games he plays per season not counting the fluke that was last year...I will agree that Tim Thomas is a "cheap no future talent," but no one else on that team is bad...

Elton Brand has been in the NBA for 9 seasons.  In three of them, he's missed significant time (2002-03 - 20 games; 2003-04 - 13 games; last year - 74 games).  Missing a significant number of games in 1/3 of your seasons sounds like often-injured to me.

Often-injured refers to someone who misses time every season...T-MAC for example. Missing 13 games one season is not a good example of a player who gets hurt a lot...I don't want to do the math, but take away last season, and EB has probably played around 95% of his team's games.

I was SHOCKED to see this post from a Warriors fan.  SHOCKED.  I mean, it didn't sound like sour grapes at all.....

Pretty close, mikev, it's 92%.  But to me a guy who misses at least 15% of the season in one out of three seasons he plays, including all of one season, is oft-injured. Or, whatever, call it something else... at least, he's a guy you can't count on to be there for 82 games in a season.
