If I understand this correctly under the new ESPN deal the payout will be same payout more or less across the board as the ACC....Miami, Va Tech and BC  have to kicking themselves...well ..maybe not Miami...For proximity it makes sense for them to be in the ACC...but for the other schools it is a wash...

The post revenues stick out like a sore thumb when comparing an 8 team league and a 12 team  league...remarkable..

The BIG EAST adds two teams and they will proably pass the ACC in revenues..inbleivable...Swofford has got to be second guessed by the AD's and Presidents now...especially since it is unlikely those three schools will ever bring a Basketball presence there...

Take gun out...point it at head..

Why are you guys still so bitter?

Not bitter....Bud.....I just wonder after the smoke has cleared after 5 years would those teams make the same move....I would Say...Maybe to Va Tech...Yes to Miami...BC has to be second guessing themselves..just take a look at  current recruiting in their major sports...it is starting to take a toll..

Why are you guys still so bitter?

It didnt sound to me that anyone was bitter, the numbers are what they are.  What Va Tech is finding out is that the grass is not always greener, they are in a better position now, in name only, in other words, they are in the ACC and not the Big East and the ACC may have a better reputation (nationally), but the numbers (football numbers and revenue numbers) dont support it.

I disagree with Slaton.  I think Va Tech should be in the ACC, that conference is a better fit geographically and they can focus on football, the move made sense for them.

The issue you bring up with this statement is why you left.  It was presented that Va Tech left for more revenue and more prestige.  Hence the bitterness, you ask about.  Well the revenue isnt there and the prestige isnt justified.  What you really left for is a better regional affiliation, which as I said, is enough for me, but dont question when someone calls you out on the numbers.
