I've seen many posts throughout the board on this subject. So, with a sweep seeming destined again, i thought i would start a thread on the Cox subject and try to centralize all the opinions i have seen on him.... Do you think he should be back?

There is absolutely no doubt that Bobby Cox should be back with the Braves in 2009 if he wants to be. When you consider the injuries that this team has had to deal with through the first half of the season, it's really a miracle they are where they are.

For all his faults,
Bobby Cox is the best manager in baseball.

Did I say 14 straight division titles?

Hate him if you like,
you probably hate Santa Claus
and the Beatles too,
Bobby C. can manage, and manage well.

The Braves offense needs to kick it up a notch.
Three straight losses at home to the Phils
is just heartbreaking.

Go Braves 08!!

So next year if at the all-star break if you under .500 do you still say keep Cox? Or are you going to say it's all the young players he has?

I think that maybe it's time for a change.  If that means getting rid of Cox than so be it.  Anything to change our luck and to help our play on the field.  Cox obviously isn't doing something right; I mean we are hitting under .200 with runners in scoring position and you gotta admit that he makes the dumbest decisions alot of time that cost us ball games.  I been saying for a while that it's time for a change, and Cox has to go.

I know I'm not the only one that thinks this because on the poll 50+% says fire him.  C'mon 14 and Bravochick, I know I'm not the only one that thinks it's time for a change.
