Don't you have to have Croyle somewhere on the list? I don't think there's a more unproven quarterback being thrown in to the fire this year than Brody. Hopefully the Chiefs line is revamped enough that he'll have a chance to remain upright during their games. Carl Peterson and Herm Edwards seem to think he has what it takes to be the QB of the future. I guess we shall see.
I dont think there is any reason to have Croyle on this list. He hasnt done anything in the league to show that he might be ready to break out this year. Most of the other players on the list at least have show flashes of what they may be able to do. Croyle is totally unproven and very well might be at the top of the list of players who will have a breakdown year! Unless the offensive line and the running game turn things around to give the kid some help, its going to be a long year
Kinda a lame duck article....... why not list a player from each team? It would be a more widely viewed article then. However with the media attention being what it is, nobody and I mean no one thinks the chiefs have a snowballs chance in H377 of winning let alone competing. With that being said it seems like there are alot of winning or expected to win teams mentioned in the 30 players... HMMMMM Whatever most good quarterbacks have a initial bad season.. Troy Aikman, Peyton Manning.. to mention a few. Before anyone gets all mouthy I'm not comparing Brodie Croyle to either I'm just making a point. Very few quarterbacks come into the NFL lighting the world on fire as rookies. He would be a great candidate for breakout player of the year if had time to complete a pass or could run a little faster... lol
I would take Matt Leinart out of that, cause there backup is better then their starter and put in Alex Smith, I think has gonna breakout year under Martz offense.
Her'ms run-run-pass-punt offence was necessary because of an awful offensive line, and a young quarterback, AND the injury to Larry Johnson AND an offensive coordinator that was a career o-line coach, in his first stint as an OC. Chan Gailey will now call the plays, and you can bet he'll be a lot less predictable.
last i read tyler thigpen might be your starting quarterback, and if he is i believe the chiefs fans will be happy with his abilities, thought the vikings were stupid to let him get away after they drafted him, he has an impressive college run, for 1 aa, i would much prefer him over tarvaris jackson.
Are you kidding us? Croyle? What exactly did he do that would strike fear into the hearts of any defense? He had an extremely sub-par year. He plays on a sub-par passing team. He has sub-par receivers. I guess it was a joke.
