Greetings, Clemson fans!  Now before you all get crazy 'bout a Gamecock fan posting on your boards, I just thought I'd let you know that I'm here to give you all my unbiased opinion on how your team will fare this season.

In my honest opinion, I ranked the Tigers at the number 6 spot in my preseason top 10.  I do see them making it to the ACC Championship game easily, either undefeated or with 1 loss to either Alabama, Wake Forest, or Virginia.  Those are the three games I think your team has to look out for.  Other than that, I'd say this year's Clemson Tigers football team could easily make it to 12-0 and possibly beyond.

However, we all know how hard it is to go undefeated for any team in the nation, so I don't see this year's team making it.  I do however, see them going 12-1, possibly 11-2 into a BCS Bowl game, one that they'll probably win, too.

So, I'll wrap this up now by saying good luck to this year's Clemson squad.  You guys are shaping up to be one of the best teams this year.

Thanks for the comments.  I am really getting excited for the season to start.  I am every year but this year does look a lot different.  They definitely should have a special year the main two games that I am concerned about are Wake and FSU.  Wake because Grobe is a really good coach.  Clemson did beat them easily last year but they can never be looked over.  FSU because we play them later in the season and it is at FSU where the Tigers have had some rough times.  Of course the USC game is always huge and you can just never tell how it will go.

Hopefully that "They always lose to a team they shouldn't" tag can be removed.  I definitely want payback to BC this year and hopefully get VT in the ACCCG.

Clemson has recently been getting great recruits, but I think they need to show that they can win the Championship before the old powerhouses (Miami & FSU) get built back up in contention and start stealing recruits.

Good luck to USC as well this year.  Most all of my friends are USC fans so I do enjoy the trash talking but really don't mind if they win.  But don't get me wrong, I do enjoy a good laugh when they lose.  I think USC definitely has a good coaching staff.  They need to upgrade the athletic facilities and keep the guys out of 5 points.

I think the first half of the season will be pretty easy, seeing as you guys don't have a true away game until the 6th game of the season.  That's when I think the road will begin to get a little bumpy.  However, if Clemson plays like they should, they should have no problem finding a way to win those games.

I think the USC-Clemson game will be a good one this year, too, probably because of the fact that both teams are returning 18 starters exactly.  I'm looking forward to it, just not looking forward to playing in Death Valley.

Always nice to have some educated honest fans on these boards. I have enjoyed posting with you on the many threads the last couple days GameRoyalty. You seem to know your college football well and look at your team without blinders on.

Good luck to you guys. I hope you can find a QB to service your team as we discussed in the heisman thread. I would like to say it is Garcia but my motto with QB's is if they make porr decisions off the field they usually make them on the field too.

I would love nothing more than in the near future S.C. and Clemson to meet for something more than for one of them to need a win for a winning season. I would love nothing more than to meet with both playing for a BCS spot.

I agree with you that Clemson should be 10-2 or 11-1 regular season. 12 games in a row is tough stuff in a BCS conference. I am looking forward to seeing if they step up. Good luck to the Cocks.

Thanks, nmerritt11!  And I hope that we find a QB sometime soon, also.  Like I've stated before, Garcia didn't just seem to be a good QB, but a good team leader and someone who couple bring motivation with him wherever he went.  It doesn't look like it's gonna work out quite like that, though.

And yes, I too hope that we meet with something big on the line.  The only time I remember anything like that happening between these two schools, was back in the 2002 College World Series where South Carolina and Clemson met to decide who would go to the championship game against Texas.
