Golf just isn't that type of game.
There are 5 games within the game of golf (ala, Dave Pelz). The Long Game, The Short Game, Putting, the Mental Game and Course Management. Steroids might help the long game....maybe. Those gorillas you see pounding the ball 400 yards in the long drive contests are about 12 handicaps and couldn't fix a hook with a hammer & anvil. In the long game, there is still an agility component within your small muscle groups which steroids would overtake. So steroids don't help.
Beta Blockers? Really? So a player can slow their heart rate? What good does that do when you have to carry the ball 260 yards just to reach the fairway.
I could see a player using Adderall or Ritalin for concentration. Then again, those aren't illegal if you have a prescription... but who would even care?
The only drugs on the PGA Tour follows the old golf saying: Caffeine + Nicotine = Protein.
