I know that practices are pretty intense , but to have to check out because of an elbow to the chest ? . That is nothing compared to what youre going to be looking at on a nightly basis . If im Pat Riley , its time to rearrange my gameplan .
calm down, it was his first practice. if it mattered at all, he would have kept playing.
serious injuries can occur, even if its just an elbow to the chest. why maybe get a guy hurt in his first practice?
and btw, beasley has played in basketball GAMES before, without incident too! wow.
Yeah no doubt, much much different than a game. If a guy has a tender ankle do they not hold him out of practice a lot even if he can still play in the game? Games are always more important.
Think about it: you buy a brand new car and see a hail storm coming. do you leave your car outside and risk it getting dinged up, or do you put it in the garage? Beas is a 3.8 million-a-year investment. you take care of that kind of thing, don't you?
Good responses... this is not a big deal. And we were not there to see it.. an inadvertent elbow can crack a rib if it connects by fluke just the wrong way.
I would be much more concerned about knee pain or some back issue. Bruised chest- no big deal.
It is good to see that most of the people here are intelligent enough to realize that you don't take precautions with your next all star in a summer league practice... Thank God you are not Pat Riley... I think everything will be fine.
Let's just relax and enjoy what Beasley is goining to bring us....
