I didn't get to watch tonight's game unfortunately, but it's great to see DC bounce back like this. He needs to follow that up with another quality start though. I also thought Loewen looked good out of the bullpen. His control wasn't perfect, but he looked good considering how much he's had to go through. His delivery looks slightly different although I couldn't put my finger on how and he looks like he slowed it down a little too.

I am always hesitant to give a team an advantage based on past performances especially when that team has some hot pitchers going against us. How can KC just fall apart every time they face us? Oh well, I'm just glad we're winning games. Great to see the CG from DC.

If we can win this series, then I'm going to put the whole "us beginning the mid-season slide" thing out the window for a bit.  If we can take this series, then we will have beaten a recently tough team in our house.  After this series, we have to face Texas (not that easy of a task) then Toronto.   If we can finish off this series with a win, then win the Texas series, we could be heading into Toronto 5 games over .500 and a chance to be even higher come the AS break.  Then again, we do have to face Boston in Boston after the Jays, so maybe not.

I was as frustrated as anybody after the back to back excruciating losses, but these past two games have shown me even more about this team's character.

The offense ignores the negative mojo two nights ago, and Sherrill gets the save as Trembley shows continued faith and support on him.  Oh yeah, it was also his own T-Shirt Night.  Then, with the bullpen somewhat tired, DC throws maybe his best game of the year last night, retiring 14 at one point and going the distance in another solid win.

There's no better way than to follow up hair-greying games like we had by winning the next two and just putting them in the past, and that's exactly what we did; and also something we would not have done in the past.  There's something special about this bunch.

Great outting by DC.  I really think we need tonights game because Texas is coming and they are really hitting the ball.  Only good thing is that I think their pitching is not that good.

Sess, you are right, Loewen did change something with his delivery.  Dempsey was talking about it the other day, but I only heard what he was saying, I didn't see it.  I think it has something to do with him picking up his right leg higher.............or something like that.  He's not sliding it on the ground, and landing better when he throws the ball.  I dont know if that makes any sense, but I think I heard something on them grounds.

Cabrera really buckled down after some early minor struggles.  Once Kranitz came out in the 4th, it was over.  He got through the 7th on 4 pitches.

I still think he has made enormous strides this year.  He could still stand to work on some things, like fielding his position (although that's improving too) and repeating his delivery every time out instead of half the time.  I think the biggest difference this year is maturity.  He doesn't let things get in his head, and he can sometimes go out there and gut it out without his best stuff.  He's always going to be wild at times, but this year's wild looks a lot different than the wild of the past, and for the most part he's limited the damage caused by the base on balls.

Got to finish it up strong today

Those 2 agonizing blown saves in a row need to get some distance in the rear view mirror

Only 3 out of 4 against KC will be able to soothe the open wound of losing bottom 9th 2 outer back-to-back
