Bowe4prez,
Please understand that the previous post was NOT aimed at you. It was vent from months of listening/reading about this. Funny thing is, I'm not even an NBA fan! Haven't watched a full NBA game since Michael Jordan played in Chicago, before his stint in baseball!
But while I'm venting, ladies and gentlemen, if you would indulge me one more time...
I'm sick and tired of...
Folks on the coast. Either one. They all seem to have the same attitude. If you can't see the ocean from downtown, you don't matter. I can't tell you the number of absolutely idiotic, nasty, racist, dumba$$ comments I've had to listen to and read in the last several months, all directed at my adopted home state and city. The same kinds of comments I've heard directed at Boise, even though all y'all are a little closer to the big water than us. Apparently, unless you have over 3 million people, traffic jams and high crime rates, you don't count. People who have never set foot outside of Washington are breaking out with toothless, inbred hick remarks, talking about the dirty state, etc. I've seen similar comments about Boise on here. Now, I've never had the opportunity to visit Boise but I have been up the road at Mountain Home and I have visited Coeur d'alene and if either are any indication, sign me up.
Sorry, I'm tired and just a little bit pi$$y right now. I'm not a fan of snobs to begin with and when their venom and snobbery is directed at a place they have never even been, it kinda gets my goat.
Thanks for the venting space. I guess we'll just show them what's what when we roll into Husky stadium on September 13 and stomp 'em into a mudhole! Unless, of course, we get ducked!
