What round is he worth drafting in standard league scoring?

I really want to draft Andre early but the injury risk and the bad offense, correction, bad team, scares the crap out of me..Johnson is the entire team. I know he dominated early on lasts eason but to risk a top 3 round pick to get him is a big gamble IMO. Drafting him in the 3rd near the end is his value but I know someone else will grab him much earlier..

I agree I think mid to late third round is best. Drafting on potential, he is a late second rounder. Injury possibilities make him a third to fourth rounder.

overundercover,

I like AJ and I agree with you that there's a significant injury concern.  However, I don't think the Texans offense is "bad" or was bad last year.  Granted they've been a complete mess for the history of their franchise before last year, but they weren't as bad as people think.  They were in the middle of the league (top 15) for most passing statistics including yards and scoring.  Keep in mind that the Texans lost their starting QB, RB, and best WR last year for significant time (at least 5 games per person).  Think about where some of the other middle of the road teams like Cinci, Cleveland, Seattle or even Washington would have fared losing the same type of positions.  I think this speaks volumes for what Kubiak is doing in H-town, and that there's some potential for the Texans.  But I agree that you can't ignore all of the injuries.  I think the injury conecerns around AJ apply to WB/RB health as much as anything.  I personally think he's a late second round guy.

I voted for the third rd. He's definetly a good player and he's proven the QB doesn't matter; however the risk of injury is always there.  In my opinion it would be a tough decision between him and Braylon Edwards.  Unless it's Moss or Wayne, won't take a WR in rd 2.

Moss, Wayne, Owens, Edwards/Johnson are my top 5 receivers this year.
