Fiction: Ya gotta let him be his own man. He should be reffered to as Prince Feilder, son of a King! lol!

F/F: Lions made upgrades to the secodary and D-Line this year by adding Leigh Bodden, Dwight Smith, Brian Kelly, Kalvin Pearson, Chuck Darby, Andre Fluellen and Cliff Avril?

well at this point they are just additions. moss could have broken a leg and not done a thing last year. you can not know whether they are upgrades until the end of a season, or until they at least put up some decent numbers with us. i think they have helped add depth and expereince to a squad that desperately needed both. we are still a bit away from talented but we at least tried to make things better. fleullen, and in particularly avril both spike my interest. a couple of guys who can just flip a switch and excel in one area. that is something that intrigues me alot. barry showed last year that he is very adept at subbing guys out to get the best results. a guy who only let i believe 2.5 (maybe lower can't remember right now) rushing yards a carry while he was on the filed, and some one who got a sack on 3rd down about 67% of the time. that gets my imagination going. barry's D lead the league in takeaways for the first half of the year with less than stellar talent. we gave him veterans who know how to cover in a zone, and a couple of linemen that excel in particular areas. i think it will overall be a big upgrade, if at nothing else we at least drafted some guys who know how to tackle and that wil help special teams.

F/F: Daunte Culpepper after setting the world record for highest score in the madden 2:00 minute drill will no move onto more competitive gaming records, leaving the NFL to go after the donkey kong high score. (just what i heard anyways)

Fact   after his misserable attemot to revive his career for the Dolphins I dont see him playing again. his skill set is not one that can be revived again and again.

F/F The Tigers will have a better winning percentage that the Lions this season

Fiction- It'll be close because baseball has so many games. But I'll have to say, Fiction.
I think the Tigers will be right at .500 and the Lions will be just above .500.

F/F- The Lions should have drafted Patrick Willis instead of Calvin Johnson?

Fiction. We have a great linebacker. If anyone it should have been the great Joe Thomas.

F/F. Marinelli doesn't give a funk about character guys, he needs to win now or be fired, hence Cherilus,Dizon, and Pearson.

.5 fiction, .5 fact/ he does care alot about the character of the guys who play for him, but like you said with the chair he is sitting in getting a little hot right about now he lowered the bar for this year's draft class. if he did not care about the charatcer of the guys he would not have kicked out rogers and williams taking some what considerable monetary losses. basically he saw a few guys that fit the needs we have right now and looked past their troublesome pasts so that he could prove that he can win games, find the guys he needs to win, an prove that he is the right guy to coach the team. if we get to a record of 8-8 or 10-6  i think he will have done a great job in just 3 years, and preserve the job he needs to keep. that and if we fire another guy in just three years we will be throwing away alot of work no matter who we bring in. he is doing a good job and in think he is bringing in the right guys thaty we need to wn games leave him alone and give the man a chance to work with the talent he has tried to assemble. if he does not make the playoffs in 3 years then he can be fired. even then though i would have to consider the progress made and what happened to keep us from the midnight dance.

F/F: cherilus will beat out foster for the starting job at RT.
