Stupid CBS.

Anyways, good to see you back.

I am dissapointed that they weren't able to keep Umberger, especially since the cap went up. However, I do understand that for the choices of people to let go, Umberger was the best. The Flyers had to resign Carter, he will be a 70+ point player next year IMO. It would have been nice to see RJ return in the Flyers jersey, but a lot of us had a feeling he was going to be the weakest link and not resigned. At least the Flyers were able to trade him, instead of just lose him in Free Agency.

Hopefully one day the Flyers bring him back.

Hailmary,
I agree with what FlyFlyersFly said.  I think Umberger can do very well in Columbus.

Whether you like Jagr or not, this quote is simply classic ... Haha

“I want to thank Glen and Tom and the Rangers. I want to thank all the people who supported me. Being in New York was special.  And I also want to say to the people like Mike Milbury who made their living by criticizing me all the time, that they can kiss my [butt].”

I'm guessing he did ... it was in an article in the Pitt Trib.  One thing about Jagr ... he was never one to hide his thoughts and/or feelings.

Hey Fly Guys ... I was just sifting through HockeyBuzz and noticed that the Flyers are $891K above the cap.  Any idea how they are planning to get back under the cap?  Is D. Hatcher going to retire, or do they have something else in mind?

Also, just a general salary cap question ... obviously right now it is OK to be over the cap.  At what point do teams have to be at or under the cap?

I also see where the Rangers are paying a "cap penalty" this year.  Any idea what that is about?
