Are the Welsh and Scotts friends or foe or does it matter anymore?
Here's some history for you guys...correct me if I'm wrong Q.
Why do we salute? Because long ago there were nights who worked for Kings but during feudalism when the Knights were out of work, in order for one knight to tell if another was a friend or foe, they would raise their face mask. That gesture now has become our salute.
The raising of the arm is like when one would raise their faceplate.

There are so many things we adopted from England....it's amazing.
