Well, logic tells me that Edwin is gonna be the odd man out today, but the real side of me thinks Griffey will be.  And oh, btw, I was on the wagon of keeping Jr. third in the lineup...he needs to drop, like, right now.  5th.  Nice and simple, behind Captain Phillips and in front of Votto/Bruce with the other one hitting third.

Dunn simply no longer fits into the equation out here.  Right now, we have a tremoundous surplus of basic players.  Next year with losing both Dunn and Griffey, we should have a ton of money for the off-season for somebody like a Rafael Furcal.  Anyway, big series, and today's a big game to keep momentum.

Let's Go Reds, and Let's Go Cards (never thought I'd ever type that), so we can gain some ground on the Cubs before our big series.

I must agree, Ken Griffey needs to move down the line up as soon as possible.  Edwin Encarnacion should be the odd man out.  I would like to see a line up like this one.

SS- Jerry Hairston
RF- Jay Bruce
3B- Jeff Keppinger
2B- Brandon Phillips
1B- Joey Votto
LF- Adam Dunn
CF- Norris Hopper
C- David Ross

Lets give both Griffey and EE the day off, this would give us a couple of options off the bench other than Paul Bako and Corey Patterson

GO Reds, GO CARDS, we need a sweep of the Nationals !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It may not matter what our lineup looks like if we get the bad Bronson Arroyo again. Hopefully he reproduces what he did last time out...

I also would like to see Ken Griffey Jr. moved from the 3 spot. You know your "best" hitter is supposed to hit there? I'm pretty sure they walked Jeff Keppinger to load the bases and face Jr. last night, and it worked.

Is that enough of a sign Busty? DROP HIM!!

Arroyo apparently is aware of what he is doing wrong. It's tough to fix that on the fly and it's tough to fix it easily without compromising something else. These are the kinds of problems that can be addressed in:

1. spring training
2. watching films
3. a short trip back to Lousyville for a couple of "rehab" starts.

Naturally, the Reds didn't do any of those things.
Now we want to unload Bronson, so he can go somewhere else and win 18 or 20 games.

Ral-ee cow!
Ral-ee cow!
Ral-ee cow!

Offical Redlegs lineup:

  1. Jerry Hairston - SS
  2. Jay Bruce - CF
  3. Ken Griffey Jr. - RF (What a shocker)
  4. Brandon Phillips - 2B
  5. Adam Dunn - LF
  6. Jeff Keppinger - 3B
  7. Joey Votto - 1B
  8. Paul Bako - C
  9. Bronson Arroyo - P

In other news, Norris Hopper will go on the DL to have TJ surgery and make room for Josh Fogg who will get the start tomorrow in place of Aaron Harang.

Now who would have guessed somebody else would go on the DL so Corey Outterson could stay with the team...

Harang admittedly has tightness in his pitching forearm.  Not good news.  He's been a horse since joining the Reds.....him admitting he's not well.....let's just say I don't think that's good news.
