As much as i hear the echo's of Steve Levy's voice in my head saying.......... Andrew Brunette and the MN Wild are moving on , I just dont understand the strategy. I love A.B but i also think B.R was the 2 best player on this squad and to not get him resigned is a joke. So in reality we actually lost offensive power (which was'nt much to begin with)

They also blow the O.J from Flordia, trade Rolli,Voros,Fedryuk, and i posted a couple days ago about this,  but i think i might change my mind.....We will probably not sign Pierre Marc Bouchard considering we already tried to throw him in the Flordia trade. I guess what im saying is I think Doug the head and Kevin Mchale are having weird slumber parties at there homes????? Why is it that almost every GM that controls MN sports Sucks! ZIGGI YOUR MY HERO! GO WILD!

A) Nice "Snatch" reference.

B) Andrew Brunette is a good addition. Not only can he score 20 goals, but he's a fan favorite. Losing Brian Rolston didn't make too many fans happy, but getting our playoff hero back might call the dogs off - for now. I also like the addition of Marek Zidlicky, he's a tough defenseman who can also score some goals.

C) The names you listed for Olli Jokinen - Pierre-Marc Bouchard among them - hopefully come back. I'm a huge Bouchard fan, and he's been one of the biggest constants for the Wild in the past couple of seasons. If they don't re-sign him - they have the money to do it - I'd be very disappointed.

For a guy who's done with Minnesota sports, ya sure post a lot:)  I like the Brunette pickup (should never have let him go in the first place) and don't mind the fact that the Wild didn't re-up Rolston for a contract that'll keep him playing until he's old enough to be Keith Carney's father.

I sure hope Risebrough has some kind of plan for using some of that cap space to upgrade the team, though.  Losing Aaron Voros and Todd Fedourk is a bummer; Fedoruk was doing a fine job of getting involved in the offense and setting up screens in front of the net.  Suddenly, the Wild have gone from the Seventh Street Bullies to the Kellogg Boulevard Cocoa Puffs in terms of toughness.  If Dougie doesn't use a good chunk cash to cement Pierre-Marc Bouchard to a multiyear deal, and also get some more Mark Parrish type players on our roster, the team of 18,000 natives are going to start getting restless.

Signing Brunette was a great thing. No one had any problem with him when he left and most of us were super PO about it. I thought for sure that letting Rolston Go was to pick up Hossa but the Wing beat us to that. We have space to get Gaborik for a few more years now.  I just hope we can grab one more big Offensive weapon as Marian is going to be pissed that we let Demetra go and didn't grab Marian Hossa.

Two of my least favorite Wild moments were: 1. trading Willie Mitchell for Martin Skoula (for obvious reasons) and 2.  Losing Andrew Brunette to the Avalanche.

I'm excited that we are getting Brunette back, but losing Brian Rolston at the same time is a bummer.  I would have loved to see those two work together on a power play or 2.

I would be really surprised if we land one of the two remaining "big name" scorers left on the free agent wire, but lets hope that we have some young guns that are ready to produce in the NHL.  Petr Kalus anyone?

I liked Rolston, but he wasn't going to get the payday he got if he had stayed here. I like the Bruno pick up, he's being killing us ever since he left. The thing thats got me scratching my head is that we haven't picked up a center yet. I know they were going to make a play for Hossa but missed out, and I know beyond him there isn't one out there thats really worth the money they'll be asking for but don't they have to get someone?
