Four of UNLV's six best players are seniors.  Come tournament time, their (likely) entire starting 5 will all be over 20 years of age (including 3 players over 23).

This is a highly experienced, mature, and talented team who can absolutely shoot the lights out, and who now have a big time inside defensive presence in 7' Beas Hamga .

I think 30+ wins, and a deep NCAA Tournament run is very, very likely.

KU will still be the most talented team in the Big 12 again this year.
Texas and Oklahoma will be tough but Kansas can win the Big 12.  All three are probably about on the same level, although I like both the Longhorns and Sooners to be a little better than the defending champions this year. No disrespect intended to the Jayhawks.

UNLV is gonna be really good Dan. You underestimate all Mid Majors and then again you tell me teams like Memphis and Gonzaga and Xavier are not mid majors.

However, you still rank them so low. LOL... come on Dan...

Write this name down and put it under a hat "Tyshawn Taylor".  Didn't get a lot of love from the so-called recruiting experts bc he didn't play AAU ball bc he had to work during the summer to support his family. But this kid could turn out to be an all-american in a year or two.  I watched him match-up with Chauncey Billups (and he wasn't dogging it) at a Pro-Am event in KC, the kid can get to the rack whenever he wants.  He's a 6'3" PG that is quick as hell and can jump out of the gym.  He and Collins are gonna cause teams to have nightmares this season.  The quickest guard duo in the nation.

I wouldn't say that dantheman4250.  Tennessee will be very good next year.  Sure they lose Chris Lofton, but they gain a better player in Scotty Hopson.  This kid will be special.  I saw him in person at the McDonald's All-American game in Milwaukee and he was amazing.  Besides Tyreke Evans, he was the best player on the floor.  Tennessee still has Tyler Smith as well, a projected top-15 pick in the 2009 NBA Draft.  Not to mention Wayne Chism and JP Prince, who both are stars in the making at Tennessee.  Renaldo Woolridge and Emanuel Negedu join Hopson to form one of the best freshmen classes in the country.

I don't feel UCLA is a top-3 team.  I'm not as sold on Jrue Holiday as some of the experts are.  He's a solid player, but I don't think he's in the top 5 of his class.  DeMar DeRozen is much better than Holiday and will have the same kind of impact as OJ Mayo at USC.  UCLA is top-10 worthly, especially with the late signing of J'Mision Morgan, but I don't think Josh Shipp or Darren Collision will lead this team past the Sweet 16.
