Saint...You really need to do some research before you talk about something you know little about. We lost Okam, your right. We also have 2 outstanding DE which one of them is Brian Orakpo who is on the watch list for the Bronko Nagurski trophy and Lott trophy, and selected by Playboy as preseason All-American. The defensive tackle of mention is Roy Miller, who is on the maxwell award watch list. On the other side of the D line is Henry Melton, and if you dont know who he is and what he is capable of, you have been under a rock the last 4 years. Also, returning 4 starters SOUNDS bad, but what you dont realize, is just because a player didnt start last year doesnt mean he didnt spend a lot of time in his position. I only say this because every person on the D line played last year. Every linebacker, played last year. and Both of the CB's played and started last year. So do your research. Just remember, you're FIU. A small school in a terrible conference. Just because we struggled the first game last year, doesnt mean we'll lose to you. Maybe you should check the scores of the 1st games of the season for the last 4 years.

You probably should know that Texas is playing FAU not FIU. FAU averaged 416 yards a game FIU 100 or something FAU top 3 in the nation in turnover margin FIU bottom 3. Where did ya find the award info I looked at every preview magazine and only found info on mccoy being on a watch list. FAU was also 13th in the nation in sacks allowed at 15 through 13 games and we played against george selvie who led the nation in sacks and did not allow him to get one. So if you still think Texas is playing FIU you're gonna be surprised when FAU shows up and Rusty Smith picks apart Texas's defense! Go Owls!

Sorry I made the greatest of errors. I confused FAU with FIU. Either way...and by the way, you looked all over? Did you think I was making it up? Go to Mack-brown texas football.com you will see the articles. Hell, google their names and you will see the watch lists they are on. I also heard you the first time with the stats. Those stats were gained while playing in the weakest conference in DIV 1 football, don't you get that? AND you didnt even win the WEAK conference !!! If you had the "sacks allowed" stat, and your "Yards per Game AVG" stat in the Big 12, then I may be impressed. FAU is not AP State. AP state at least WON the Nation Title in DIV 2. HOOK'EM

There is a big difference between FIU and FAU look at the record of FIU over the past 3 years 3 win all against north texas. FAU won the sun belt through the tie breaker by beating troy and did texas win their division NO. We got some of those stats against UF USF Kentuky OK. ST. real pushovers! FAU is as good if not better than many of the teams yall play you lost to KSU they are a Basketball school and Texas A&M! FAU can and will beat Texas! Go Owls!

LOL at these FIU/FAU fans.....whichever one...

Its kind of cute...

Dude..Unless your a elite POWERHOUSE team in the country you dont come into Austin thinking your going to have a chance...Ask OU. There a powerhouse..ask them why doesnt OU and UT play in Austin or at OU when we play??? Its because both teams are TOO good at home. We play on fair grounds too both sides outside of Austin and OU.

it makes it fair. Because even a powerhouse team like OU knows playing AT Austin gives them a very slim chance to win.

and no disrespect....but.......YOUR NOT OU!

Have fun dreaming and may you wake the f*** up August 30th!

HOOK' EM!

irishkingpin602:

So only "elite powerhouse teams" think they have a chance in Austin?? You mean like K-STATE or A&M?? Are they considered elite powerhouses now?? I understand what you are trying to say about your home record and all, but you are overstating it. Fact is you will lose twice this year at dkr. No, FAU won't be one of them but they will move the ball on you guys and they will score in the 30's.
