I've been getting back into music, and I'm listening to music everyday now. So, I'm curious about who y'all like, as singers in Rock and Roll.

Rather than a poll, I just would love to hear your thoughts, stories, memories, anything else you'd like to share.

For female singers, P J Harvey, grew up with Janis Joplin... and love Sheryl Crow. I love P J and Sheryl, and Janis is right there with them

For male singers, Chris Cornell, grew up with Robert Plant, and love Paul Rodgers. Chris is my favorite, and Paul a close second.

Hope you don't mind if I list multiples, and also stray outside of the genre. Here are some of my favorites, in no particular order, and not separated by gender: Robert Plant Rick Danko Joni Mitchell(not rock, but damn fine voice) Michael Been Mark Sandman Ann Wilson Stevie Wonder Roger Daltry Janis(need I say more?) Kris Kristofferson(again, not rock, but I love his voice) Steve Forbert I could go on for eons, but I'll stop. I'm interested to hear what others have to say. [ Reply to Comment ]
