Before you go making him out to be a saint, keep in mind other people that donated lots of money to charities. Enron, Tyco, and MCI. Yep those guys were stand up people too. Moss is just taking care of the town he comes from, which is a good thing. If he wants to be a stand up guy he needs to follow in the footsteps of Boomer Esiason, and Doug Flutie and set up national foundations. Wait would they have done that if their kids were 100% healthy?
See anything can be turned into a debate.

I don't want to villainize the dude if he is making the efforts and doing the right things

My impression of Randy when I met him was "moon boy", I'll shake your and but wash it after.....then I actually talked to him. He is no saint but certainly not the devil some have made him out to be. winordie mentioned Doug Flutie, he is the consumate good guy

Moss was also recently honored with a commemorative stamp.

There's a feather in your cap.

Hey Patomatic, I'm just yanking the chains of the Pats and Moss haters. Obviously its working. And as my name clearly states, I'm a NINERS fan, not a Steelers fan.

As to Randy Moss, I really do hate the guy, and while I really don't wish paralysis on the guy (like I said, just rattling the Pats fans cages), I really don't give the piece of trash any further successes in life either.

The fact that he gave back is admirable, but its nothing that thousands of wealthy d-bags dont do every year. It doesn't make him a good person. And it doesn't make any difference if he doesn't boast about it. The same can be said for the other d-bags I alluded to.

Long story short, am I glad he has given back, of course I am. Does it erase the horrible teammate and human being he's been since college and maybe longer, of course not.

Somebody should nominate Moss for the Nobel Peace Prize. Really who cares. He must be really classy now that he's with Patriots. Spare me. Again, who cares. Actually I found it hilarious when he mooned the Packers faithful. It was in retaliation for what the Packers fans do when the opposing team's bus pulls up to the stadium, which is give a true B.A., but if it makes you feel better about him that he donates his time and money I guess more power to you.

Stole the words right from my mouth.
