July 4th Game vs Astros

Well, I figured I would start the thread. New guy, Jason Perry comes up big with a 2-out triple to extend the Braves lead to 2-0 in the bottom of the second. Brian McCann and Mark Texieira scored the two runs with Mark Kotsay getting his first Rbi, since re-joining the team.

Tim Hudson is pitching great and now has a lead to work with. He already has three strikouts.

Honestly, I am just happy to see the Braves in the lead. I went to game two of the Phillies series and I was so sick and tired of watching the scoring opportunities go by the wayside. I feel bad for Jeff Francoeur, but I think this is exactly what he needs...A Wake-up Call!

Tim Hudson is mowing the Astros down. He strikes out two in the third and is now at 4 for the game.

Mid 3:

NL EAST Update:

Mets are up 2 to 0 over the Phillies in the 5th inning

The Marlins are beating up on the Rockies 5-0 in the 1st inning

Nationals lost to the Reds 3-0. - Ken Griffey hit another home-run in that one.

Hopefully, the Mets can hold off the Phils and the Braves can at least gain a game tonight. Although the Phils have owned us this year, they aren't playing good against the rest of the East. May be we can take advantage of playing a bad team like the Astros and get a couple games back this weekend.

Braves showing some more two-out magic tonight. Chipper Jones gets a single, Mark Teixeira gets him to third by way of Lance Berkman's error. Then Brian McCann gets Chip home with a single. Braves pounding Brian Moehler and the Astros.

Tim Hudson is pitching awesome tonight. He has 5 strikeouts and just got Miguel Tejada to ground into a double play to get him and Carlos Lee out.

Tim Hudson keeps his gem going. He has 6 strikeouts through 5 innings and he keeps the Braves in the lead.

Lance Berkman hits a two-out single to get the Astros on the scoreboard, but Tim Hidson gets out the jam and keeps the Braves up by two.

3-1 Braves over Astros

NL East Update:

Phillies and Mets tied at 2-2 in the 8th inning

Marlins beating up on Rockies 7-3 in the 3rd inning

Nationals lost 3-0 to the Reds
