Helton will be on the 15 day DL due to his back problems. Joe Koshansky was called up. Hopefully Helton and Francis will come back to their old form when they come back. Get well soon guys. Go Rockies

Well it couldn't have come at a better time. There's only 10 games until the break, then a few days of respite. I hope he and the whole team is able to settle in for a run following the break. As bad as they've been, bad enough to have me doubting at times, I still harbor hopes that they can somehow put together another run. Looking at the division now I can't help but think that 82-83 wins is all it's going take to win the NL West this year. At 35-51 now, it will take a team hitting on all cylinders, but until the Rox are officially out, I'll keep hoping that they pull off the comeback.

Greg Reynolds needs to be sent back down and call up Jason Hirsh.  Reynolds is just not ready yet.  The offense has showed up but the pitching is afwully putrid.  Let's just put this season to rest and bounce back next year.

Luckily we have Jeff Baker who's been a nice surprise this year to take Helton's place temporarily. He had a great game last night, knocking in 4.

Koshansky is supposed to be really good.  This will give him a chance to prove his worth to the Rockies and may even open up some trade possibilities.  That was an awesome win tonight and I just hope that Helton and Francis are able to come back ready to perform the way we all know that they are capable of performing.  There is no reason for any of us fans to be throwing in the towel on the season at this point.  I am starting to get the feeling that they are finally ready to begin working their way to the top of the division.

There's no way I'm throwing the towel. You guys know me too well if you read this site on a regular basis. Hey-Yellowish after what happened tonight your only comment is about Reynolds? Your life must really suck to always be negative.

After they blew that lead against the Padres the other night, I was beginning to think that things were just not going to pan out. But it's nights like this that remind me that there's always a chance with this team. And the NL West is in bad shape now. The Rockies can still win this division.
