is Willie Randolph,Santana should have pitched the ninth,he had thrown 94 pitches and is our best pitcher, the Mets have thrown away 2 huge games this week and if we can't beat the Phillies with Santana throwing great against a no mark then what chance have we in the next two games,i bet Santana is delighted he signed that contract for a team that was going to contend

Willie wasnt the issue...Management needs to change the players, if you dont change them, you will continue to get the same results day in and day out...ok Willie had his moments....

Manuel should have let Santana pitch the 9th....

Lets remember one thing here, Jerry's playing with the cards he's been dealt with as was Willie.  I don't blame the manager, I blame the people who initially put this team together.  The four year deal and option year to Luis Castillo and Moises Alou has to be two of the worst moves any Met GM has made since I can remember.  I ask you, where are they now?  There were better optoins as far as talent goes at 2B and left field when he decided to go that route.  Omar should have realized that when knew he was going to trade the farm for Johan Santana.  I really think we're going to have to get rid of one or two players to get back to where we were and if I were betting, I'd say it's going to be Carlos Beltran or Jose Reyes or both.  Right now, we have to face it, we're a below .500 baseball club with the talent we put on the field right now day in and day out.  They only thing I'm not agreeing with that Jerry does is the resting of his players.  The time is now Jerry, not later!

the Mets just suck.  theres nothing much to it.  we bring in a triple a guy vs your 20 million dollar pitcher.  the mets shouldn't lose those types of games.

i think johan would have got knocked around if he stayed in the 9th.  i atleast thought he would pitch to howard.

the mets aren't that good.  i don't know why its so hard to see?  wright, bletran, and delgado went 0-11 combined with 5 stikeouts.  they can't hit!

Not for nothing but when i looked at the Phillies lineup they had there regulars playing can someone explain to me why was aguila playing left field in a big series ? I hope mister manuel isnt throwing away games.aguila look lost out there lead off hitter is up in the 6th inning aguila is playing in the warning track simply gave him a catchable basehit.Jerry Manuel needed to make a STATEMENT instead he gave the Phillies game 1 .Jerry Manuel seems to be over managing .And whats up with Carlos Beltran ,David Wright,Jose reyes combined 0 for 10 .come on Chad Durbin comes in and strikes out everybody please the Mets are better than that. it actually looks like they are throwing away games.8 men out what the heck?

come on your reaching we started a guy that belongs in double a in left field .the Phillies only had 2 hits untill the 6th inning when our double a left fielder thought it was Pat Burrel batting not the lead off hitter and decided to play in the warning track giving him an easy catchable ball a hit oppening up the flood gates .so please spare us your thoughts the Phillies dont impress me .the Mets simply should have won and maybe your right when the Mets need to step up they always seemed to take 2 steps back .

ok so your going to blame the Mets loss on an outfielder, right?  did you see the pitcher the Phillies sent out last night?  the mets can't hit, and they have a horrible bullpen.  they're not a good team.
