Ian Kinsler of Texas beats Pedroia in every statistical category.
  • Batting average: Kinsler .328 to .313
  • On-base percentage: .387 to .357
  • Slugging .544 to .462
  • OPS+ 148 to 114
  • HR 14 to 9
  • Doubles 28 to 25
  • RBI 53 to 39
  • Runs 77 to 60
  • Total Bases 196 to 168
  • Walks 33 to 22
Meanwhile, Manny Ramirez is another undeserving all-star, as is Jason Varitek.  If the stupid National League wins the all-star game, we'll have the Pink Hat-wearing Red Sox Nation members to thank for giving us a bunch of bums...

yeah but the all star game is the most pointless thing ever anyway, so you might as well make the selections pointless too.

Add Ortiz to that list also..........................a .252 avg, and on the DL.  Just freakin amazing.  How bout some more Ray's players.  That would make the game exciting!!

Doesn't this happen every year?  We get in this discussion every year.  It is voted on by the fans and it becomes a popularity contest.  That is the way it has always been.  So, do the Red Sox get the credit when the AL wins the game?  You are all ready to give them the pink hat.

I am not sure why a White Sox fan is so worried about it, it won't effect them in the World Series, because they won't be there.  The AL central is the worst division in the AL and the team that comes out of that division will lose in the ALDS.

Plus you only single out the Red Sox players, but I know you can go around the lineup and find players with better stats at most of the positions, but once again, it happens every year.
