	According to a report from the New York Post, Diamondbacks pitcher Brandon Webb will start for the NL in the 2008 MLB All Star Game. I don't know how accurate this report is, but I would have chosen Tim Lincecum, Dan Haren or Edinson Volquez over Webb. Webb has been struggling since starting out 9-0. I think Webb and Haren will be the only players representing the Diamondbacks. Maybe Conor Jackson would make it too if first base in the NL wasn't so loaded (Adrian Gonzalez, Albert Pujols, Derrek Lee, Ryan Howard). http://cbs.sportsline.com/mlb/story/10888164

	I have read that Webb will pitch twice this week. On Tuesday at Washington and on Sunday. Could someone please confirm ? Thank you

	Brandon Webb is scheduled to pitch on Wednesday against the Nationals. John Lannan will be his opponent. Since Webb pitches on Wednesday, Tim Lincecum is scheduled to pitch on Sunday, and Edinson Volquez is projected to start Saturday, I think there is a good chance Webb starts for the NL, even though I don't think he deserves to over Lincecum or Volquez.

	I will say it again. Webb starts tomorrow, not Wednesday and he will pitch again on Sunday. Melvin has reversed he and Owings in the pitching rotation so Webb can get two starts before the All Star game.

	My bad. Brandon Webb did pitch today. I only looked at the Sportsline probables, and Webb was listed on Wednesday. Great start by Webb tonight, and the Diamondbacks got a much needed win. In my opinion, they need a sweep at the hands of the lowly Nationals.
