I was reading about the all time controversial calls in sport. They came up with the USA vs. USSR basketball game in the olympics as the penultimate jobbing in sports. That lead me to thinking about which college football team got jobbed the hardest. Just for conversation, here are a few that immediately popped into my mind.
5th down Missouri/Colo.
The play in the endzone Miami vs. Ohio State NC game.
(and this one really hurts me to have to give them any kind of suuport)
Hate to say it but Notre Dame against USC in 2005. Reggie Bush's illegally "pushing" Matt Leinart into the endzone to win with 3 seconds left. A great game, nonetheless.
Yes. I forgot about that one. I had $ on the Catholics that night. I meta guy in the local watering hole and he was from Torrance, CA. He was rambling on and on about "My Trojans this and My Trojans that". So in my state of inebriation I opened up my pie hole and bet him. And yet another reason to hate the Trojans and the Domers.
I was working in Moscow for a few weeks and they brought up the USA vs Russia....I don't remember much except the end which was a major hose job.
All of those hose jobs seem to be 1 or 2 bad calls...
In the 2006 LSU vs Auburn game, we counted 12 big calls/no calls that were big, all wrong, and all in Auburn's favor....that was one major hose job....most LSU fans I talk to fear that will occur again this year.
