How will JVB fare against the Reds tonight? It is a crucial game for the Bucs, but even more vital for the former number first round pick. I honestly believe that he may be down to his final audition.
roar, you are quite funny. I was optimistic with my vote, only because I've been ripping the Buccos so bad lately( and mostlt I need a break). The game takes place in JVB's hometown, and the Reds do not have patience at the plate. I combined those two extremely irrelevant notes to come up with a very hopeful statline of 5 2/3 with 1 or 2 earned runs. I'M PULLIN' FOR YA' JOHNNY!!!
This will be a huge game, so JVB is going to have to be at his best if the Buccos want to beat the Reds tonight.
Do you think he will have more patience knowing that Matt Capps is now on the disabled list, and will be out for almost 2 months with a throwing shoulder problem? I am sensing that this shoulder issue is either not new and we can blame the two blown saves on it... OR that Capps was trying to throw harder than usual or change things up in order to get out of a funk.
Well he's given up 5 runs, 3 Hr's through 2 innings. I hope to god they get him out of there while there's still a chance. Then they might as well give him his outright release.
