I believe this is a good fit for Calgary. His size and also known as a power forward is a great fit for our second line here in Calgary. He is an average/above avaerage 2nd line winger and a top-notch 3rd liner. I am sure Calgary fans won't be disappointed.

I don't think it is a bad signing, but not a wonderful one. It does the job of replacing Nolan at a slightly lower salary, and as it is only a one year deal, does not tie the Flames' hands next year. All in all I think it is good, but not great.

This guy should have never been let back into the NHL.  He ruined someone's career on purpose and no team should ever sign him.

I agree, this guy should've got a 3 year suspension imo. 1 year isn't enough for ending someones career on purpose. If it was fight , it would have been more understandable but it was a flat out cheap shot. I'm glad Calgary got him so i don't have to worry about seeing him a wings uniform again.

Morons !  Bertuzzi punched a guy from behind, and for the record , not very hard at that.  I've seen people sucker punched in the nhl for 25 years, hundreds if not countless amounts of times.  The only reason that the guy he hits got so hurt is because he passed out before he hit the ice.  That's about as rare as anything you'll ever see.

If the guy doesn't pass out,  he goes down but doesn't slam his head on the ice. He covers up and Bertuzzi gets pulled off and it's over.  Maybe Bertuzzi gets 5 minutes,, MAYBE... and MAYBE the league gives him 4 or 5 games.. but I doubt it.

Steve Moore was a borderline junk minimum wage player that is trying to get rich off of this. He's attempting to make 10 times what he ever would have made playing, not to mention he's not handicapped at all.  He even admits he's fine now...... just can't play hockey. But mostly because he sucks,, that's all.

avsfan,,,,,,,, your name says it all....  and I'm the moron?? lmao

Listen, say what you will about bertuzzi,,, but I am 100 percent correct.  Those hits happen ALL YEAR LONG IN THE NHL... end of story...

You wanna know what it compares too?  It's like a fight outside the bars on a friday night, a guy sucker punches somebody and kills him ( happened 2 times in 1 year where I live)  ....   one guy got 2 years, 1 guy with a long record got 4,,,,  one will be out in a maximum of 16 months, maybe much sooner.. the other 32 months at most..   WHY?

Why didn't the above get life like other killers?  because they did something that people are doing all over the streets in every major city every day...... that's why.... it's as common as having a beer.. bad luck for the guy that hit the ground the wrong way, but the penalty is what it is...

I hope steve moore struggles financially the rest of his life... he's a loser, a terrible hockey player... and a bad person.....
