I honestly did not know about him wanting to leave USC as a freshman. I absolutely agree with the writer (Peter Schrager) though. It is time for this kid to grow up. But maybe his future isn't as bad as it looks.
Maybe thats why Steve Smith was busting his chops? But if that was the burning question this guy was worried about with the Panthers he might be a little bit off jmo Jarrett should be fine barring injuries he wont get as much playing time as the new 3 Amigos will be terrorizing secondaries and opening the running game for DeAngelo and Stewart.
seriously, speaking as a Panthers fan, Dwayne Jarrett is about question 10-15 i have about this season...
other options:
delhomme's health
whether delhomme will be a star even if healthy
what happens with the backs
if the O-line will mesh
if our receivers can stay healthy
will we get pressure on the qb
what will our D-line look like
is godfrey an upgrade over deke
do we get better returns this year
what sort of offensive scheme are we looking at
will we play a more aggressive defensive style
Just a couple points...we all have been saying that Dwayne Jarrett needs to mature...so maybe this guy has been reading our posts.
Last year was not a freshman year in college and he was and is getting paid big bucks. If home sickness is a concern then get over it. Learn the playbook, keep your nose clean (figure of speech) and be a man, if you have the tools then now is the time to show them.
Go Panthers...I expect Jarrett to produce this year or he will be playing somewhere else.
My thoughts exactly, I just wanted to see what others thought first. I feel that Jarrett can be big on our team, he just needs to get his act together and stop taking the team for granted.
For people to say is Dwayne jarret is off there radar puzzles me abit in way. For one as much as people dont like to see it jarret is really not that far from being on the field if you really microscope our recieving corps. Steve Smith is the man dont get me wrong we all love steve smith. But steve smith has gotten nicked up over the years 2 and he is close to thirty. DJ Hackett..Great pick up if he stays healthy. Is it a gurantee...no it isnt .His knee was swelling in otas so who knows how its going to hold up in training camp. Then you have moose, the reliable vet. Only thing wrong is he is in his mid thrites. He still got some juice in the can to produce but its not going to be long term. He was brought in to mentor Jarrett and im hopeing it will have a good outcome, who better then moose to do it. Jarret is 4th on the depth chart i think and he has at least 2 guys ahead of him (Smith and Hackett) that might not make it all the way through the regular season so that makes jarrett alot more important then some are giving him credit for. Then theres the "oh hes a bust" "he got caught with a dwi". Cant label nobody a bust after only 1 season. The dwi thing...No it wont right but at least he stepped up like a man and took the blame. People get dwi's every day but it
