I'm about 100% sure every professional teams owner in every sport is there for the money first but included in that is bringing in quality players that fans will get excited about enough go purchase tickets to see the show. It's all about selling the product. The way to make the big dough is to keep the team playing so that endorsements will be added and tickets sells will soar. So getting to the superbowl has to be included to making money unless that owner isn't interested in increasing profit.
i didnt say they wouldnt like winning superbowls , thats a big bonus . my point is, if your a owner , would you want a team thats one and done and the money quits coming in , or have a team make the playoffs for 10 years and keep selling out the staduim and raking in the dough .
That has nothing to do with anything. The Cowboys are going to sell out regardless.
it has everything to do with over half the teams in the NFL . not all teams are in a big corperate city that will buy tickets to give away as prizes or gifts . proven fact that in alot of these nfl towns, if they arent winning , people areny buying tickets . it doesnt take a superbowl to have fans show up , mostly has to do with hopes that they will . any team in corperate america will always have sell outs , but theres plenty of teams that dont have that luxary . guess if it was just new york , chicago , dallas , atlanta , charlotte , then they wouldnt have to worry about winning every year
