I agree, there is something to be said and it is that OSU had no business being on the field in their last 2 NC games, they are complete imposters.

So what's better - losing in the national championship or to a 40 point underdog or 7-6 UCLA to get there?

or how about loosing to div 1aa team at home,       or how about playing in a game 2yrs in a row that everone in the country knew you did not belong in and knew the outcome before the gave was even played.

how about playing in a game 2yrs in a row that everone in the country knew you did not belong in and knew the outcome before the gave was even played.  I honestly thought you had a shot against Oregon this past year, now UCLA last year....that's another story.

I thought that was hilarious.  Maybe you don't know much about how it works in Ohio....it's great when Michigan loses

or how about playing in a game 2yrs in a row that everone in the country knew you did not belong in and knew the outcome before the gave was even played.

Really?  In 2006, OSU didn't belong and everyone knew they'd lose before they even played when it was FLORIDA who was not supposed to be on the same field?

Also, you didn't answer the above question.....what is worse?  Is OSU worse because of when they lose - in the national championship instead of against a clearly inferior team in the middle of the season?  I can see both arguments

can see both arguments

More on this point:
What OSU does better is they win the games they are not supposed to lose.
What USC does better is no one has had more success when it's a perceived "big game."

So take your pic - OSU doesn't play down to it's competition as much as USC but OSU doesn't rise in "big games" to the degree USC does.  I think it's a close call, it's a shame you don't see it the way I do.

That's easy, it's better to lose the National Championship Game when you deserve to there.

Simple, it is better to lose a National Championship Game when you deserve to be there.

The Bucks should win it all this year.  If they do, then you could claim they are the team of the decade.  A big IF though.  Until that happens, they are still one of the greatest teams of the decade (even if they play Northern Illinois).  They had one embarrassing loss to Florida in 10 years.  OSU haters can only cling to that.  They lost to LSU 38-24 last year (not bad) and beat Miami in 2002 even after the refs blew a call that would have allowed OSU to expire the clock in regulation and avoid overtime.  They won nearly all their other BCS games and beat Michigan all but once under Tressel.  I'll take this overrated crappy team any time!
