This is high risk, high reward. If Prior's twin can stay healthy this can be a steal. The guys we gave up honestly aren't in our future plans and Matt deserves an every day outfield Job. We also got a solid bullpen guy. Then again, if he doesn't stay healthy (and his track record says he won't), we essentially gave up four players for a solid bullpen guy.

Hey Cubs fan, White Sox fan here.  I just wanted to say that this is a really really good trade for the cubs.  Able not to give up Hill or Marshall or Pie is big for other trades that maybe before July 31st can happen.  Also like the pick up in Gaudin(spelling?) because one of your starters gets injured he's a realibe back up better than Marshall and Hill.  So very good trade on the Cubs part and hope to see you guys win the World Series for the Cross Town Classic Part III.  Cubs vs. White Sox

I was honestly surprised he made this trade having had Mark Prior and Kerry Wood here, but at least we didn't give up a Carlos Marmol or any real BIG NAME in this deal...Great job, Hendry!

Great Deal for the Cubbies. Good luck guys. Dodgers fan here, but picked the Cubs pre-season. Always had a soft spot for them.

Don't be suprised to see Gaudin sent down to stretch out his arm. He's only 27-28 and last year was 11-13 wih a 4.42 ERA. He could be a good number 5 guy or packaged in another deal later on.

If Harden stays healthy, we got a great deal...I mean hey I bet before this year or last we never really expected Woody to get healthy and look at him now...a change of scenery might just be what Harden needs to become the man he can be...GO Cubs GO!!!!! WHOOOO!!

For instance, the best year Lee had was .278 w/31 homers and 92 RBI's...when he stays healthy he's good for at least 30 homers and 100 or so RBIs...and look how consistent Rami has been since becoming a Cub...there have been many others that I can't think of right now, but changing your scenery can be just what you need

I know it has nothing to do with injury, but hey...ya never know
