Rooneys need to bite it big on this one. Their "GOODY TWO SHOES" image is now destroyed. I knew in my mind that they were just as bad if not worse than all the teams who the Rooneys have hurt or impacted harshly in the past. Goodell better do his job now and make an example out of these undesirables and fine, limit, pass judgement, and expose these past so called "leaders of the NFL" to the harsh and punishing arm of consistant NFL policies and procedures for the bad doers. Its about time they got exposed and for one Lions fan, I am gratified and hope they get the sturnest punishment yet for the way they disallusioned and swayed opinion on others to defray the focus from themselves. The Rooneys are of the worst of all types of characters that try to find loop holes and deceive the right doers. Fry these guys.

Wow, a couple of brothers want to add slots to race tracks they own so will sell their shares of the Steelers and you want them fried?

Sounds like the performance of your pathetic franchise and your jealousy of the Steeler Nation has affected your ability to reason.

Lion's personnell are the real "leaders of the NFL" by driving through drive thru's half naked.

rj3sports-

Nice post. Did you actually read or hear anything about this or are you just ranting on something you think you know? The brothers own race tracks which is perfectly legal under NFL ownership rules. They want to add slot machines at those race tracks which is not allowed under NFL ownership rules. In order to add the slots they have to give up their shares in the team. They have broken no rules at this point, nor disallusioned anyone regarding their ownership. Just because your city and organization are a joke doesn't take away anything from what Art Rooney Sr. and Dan Rooney have done for the NFL. The Billion Dollar industry you see today wouldn't exist without guys like Art Rooney Sr. there in the beginning.

Wow rj3sports, you really have no idea what the hell this story is about do you?

I'm really getting a kick out of your indignant hatred for people who have most likely had little to no impact on your life in any way.

Yeah, I know the Rooneys are real scumbags for being fiscally responsible owners who have forged a powerful bond with their city and fan-base.  Plus there's that whole 'Rooney rule' to promote interviewing minority candidates for NFL jobs, what kind POS would condone such a thing?  <That's sarcasm, by the way.  I can tell your reading comprehension isn't too strong.>

Anyways, the Rooneys that actually run the franchise (Dan and Art II) are simply trying to buy the shares that were split up between all of Dan's siblings because:
1) some of them want to run gaming establishments other than race-tracks.
2) NFL ownership is supposed to include one majority shareholder which the Steelers currently lack.
You must be a real nut for the rules to be so angry about infractions like these.

When have Lions fans become such morons? It's not like we play them every year like the Browns.

He's just mad that the Lions brass didn't obey the Rooney rule when they hired Steve Mariucchi (sp?) and got fined for it.  That hire worked out really well for them too.

This guy must know little about the sport of football.  The kinda guy who's at a party knows two players and tries to fit into a conversation with people who actually know the sport.   What a loser!  They will get no fine no punishment or anything else because the true Rooneys that run the team have nothing to do with the gambling, and you idots all know this.  This guy probably tries to pick girls up at a club by singing the chours to a song they like.  Again what a loser!!!

P.s.  Jealousy of the greatest franchise in sports is terrible.  Grow up!!

rj3sports must be some kind of joke,.....I think he's a Nascar fan they have rules he might like to follow, I think he crawled out from underneath his 75 dodge and by mistake read an article in the newspaper...he was looking for the funny section.

This guy seems to have no ability to seperate personal opinion from fact.  That would be like saying Chuck Noll didn't win four Super Bowl Rings.

I'm Just glad I can hang my head w
