Michigan only because I don't see a team winning the national title if it doesn't win its bowl game.

I guess only Alabama can get away with that.

Will we have flying cars by the time either of them win it?

I think both programs are many years away from winning a national championship, but between the two, I'd say Michigan. Yes, ND has had a lot of talent the last couple of years but they haven't even managed to win their bowl games. With Rich Rod as coach, I'd say the Wolverines have a better chance of a title than Charlie Weis and the Irish.

I am personally shocked at these numbers and wonder if part of the numbers are from the pure hatred toward the Irish, generally on here.  70%-30% is quite a spread.  I was expecting more of a 5-10% spread.  I voted for Notre Dame here and not just because they are my team.  Granted they haven't won a bowl game since Jan. 1, 1994, I still believe they are closer than Michigan.  A big part of this question is how much ND improves this year and next year (obviously Michigan too).  If the Maize and Blue really take to RR's system, then sure, they could do it first.  Still though, I think the Irish have a better chance.

I voted for Michigan.  Although I don't like Rodriguez, he is a helluva coach and will turn Michigan around quickly.  Look at his 2009 recruiting class already.  In the BIg 10 nobody recruits on a par with OSU and Michigan. These teams will continue to dominate the Big 10 due to the talent they can recruit.  OSU's been up for a while, Michigan's turn may be coming.  So win the Big 10, go undefeated and you've got an automatic ticket to the BCS Championship.  You gotta be in it to win it, and Michigan is much more likely to get there before ND.

Neither team is anywhere close.  Notre Dame has lost some of its luster and has had major speed deficiencies in recent years.  I'm not sure that Wisconsin hasn't caught up to Michigan as the second best program in the Big 10, and Ohio State is way ahead at this point.  Having said that, with Rodriguez coaching and recruiting, Michigan is more likely to improve rapidly, so I'll go with the Wolverines.
