According to Josh Byrnes, on mlbtraderumors.com, the dbacks wouldn't rule anybody out for left field and does not want a platoon out there. Here is the whole excerpt from the site:
"GM Josh Byrnes admits he's looking at outside options, and seems to crave more than a platoon bat to give the offense a jolt. When asked about Barry Bonds, Byrnes responded:
He and maybe a couple of others are sort of sitting out there. I think it’s a bit of assessing any players’ readiness, then knocking somebody out of the lineup, dollars, etc. I don’t want to talk about him specifically, but, believe me, we’ve considered a lot of options. There is sort of no one obvious option right now, but there are a lot of considerations."
What would you guys think about Barry Bonds. I personally think it would be great if he has maintained baseball shape through out the year. He proved last year that he could still mash. We will see.

If Barry Bonds ends up in a Diamondback's uniform, my interest in that club will come to an end.
The last thing that guys like Young, Upton, Reynolds, etc need, is to be exposed to the media circus that surrounds Barry Bonds. Also, where would he play? Who would sit so he could play? When would he be ready - remember, he'll being playing LF. There is a reason that all the other teams have passed on the guy. I would sure hate to see the Diamondbacks as the team connected to the mess Bonds has created for baseball (I know he isn't the only one).
One last thing....being a fan of the Tigers, I've already come to terms with the possibility of Bonds being on a team I follow. The Tigers were suppose to be perfect for Bonds towards the end of April. Sheffield (DH) was hurt, the left fielders weren't hitting, Leyland was Barry's manager in Pittsburgh and remains friends with Bonds. All of that - and the Tigers passed. A strong statement IMO.

A dead turtle could run faster than Barry Bonds and he wasn't exactly hitting the tar out of the ball last year and I agree with iffy. If Bonds comes, I will root against him and the Dbacks every game. He has a losing personality and it would be the worst disaster ever. I would lose all respect for the DBacks and would not even watch them on TV, that is how pathetic even the mere thought is.

Not to mention the fact that Bonds took steroids and has been under investigation for scrutiny for so long now. I resent this move even being considered and I'm not going to be thrilled if the D-backs acquire Barry.

Not to mention the fact that Bonds took steroids and has been under investigation for perjury for quite some time now. Also, his hitting the ball and standing there and watching it would not be a very good influence on the youngsters. I resent that the move is even being considered. If Josh Byrnes makes it, he might as well be fired immediately.

I know the team is desperate for a hitter, and Barry Bonds probably still has some pop left and he has announced he will play for nothing but he is a clubhouse cancer. He will turn the team into a media circus and destroy any chemisty this team may be clinging too.
I have really not missed hearing about bonds every day this season.

It would make more sense, if Bonds were to play, for him to play in the American League, where he does not have to play outfield.
But he is a cancer and if Byrnes did bring him on, I think it would be so outrageous and unaccepatable to fans of the Diamondbacks that Byrnes might have to pack and move by season's end.
