I choose football. Of all the sports, i think football is the most difficult; aside from the kicker position. LOL Mainly it is the lines, offensive and defensive that do the most work and get the least credit.
It is the most damaging to your body.
It is the most physical sport.
As a football player, you have to try to be LARGE but in shape, like 300 pds large in most positions. That requires constant conditioning and after football, you have to change all that to prevent diseases due to obesity. The older you get the harder it is to maintain; which is why young atheletes can replace even a very solid older athlete.
As a football player, you are one. It is a team sport; yes; but your job is individual more than any other sport (cept baseball) and you don't get breaks (like baseball). If you are on the offensive line; you are responsible for a guy and you better not miss.
Although I love the game of basketball more, I respect the game of football and the necessary dedication folks make to the sport.
After football, I'd pick basketball. One reason, the long season and the travel. Two, these players play both ends of the floor; all the time, with little breaks.
