I have been able to go to two games and have listened to the rest on the radio. I think that we have the talent to do some damage in the Summit league, but our seniors must step up. Boom, Boom Benny can not be the leading scorer for this team if we expect to get anywhere this year. Dewitt, Demetrius, and Jakari have to step up. It would be nice to see Burrows and Zelkrich, or however you spell his name step also. We have alot of talent on this team they just need to show it. I mean we kept up with wisconsin for a half, but then lose at home to Valpo. We should have one that game, but it seemed that the refs were from Valpo. Anyways, I think if we can maintain a .500 summit league record and get hot down the stretch, we could make a run at the big dance, man that would be sweet!

look out for david carson, he transfered from oakland and I think he can play next semester, that guy can play, and will be a scorer for you guys.

last year during mid year he transfered from Oakland to IPFW. He does have impressive number while playing at Oakland, But we could all see his potential. He is 6-7, big, and has good foot work. He will be a good low post player for you guys. When we made the big dance a few years ago, he on a couple of times drove past a few UNC players. I think he transfered because of playing time, right now Oakland has 5 guys that are 6-9 or higher, so I think he transfered for more playing time, and be closer to home, but trust me he can play, and Ill be nervous when he goes against oakland cause I can see him lighting us up.

We should be careful what we wish for. If we go to the big dance and give anybody a game, Fife will be out the door and on to greener pastures. Let's just take it slow for a couple of years and get the program built up first.

Thanks for the info. As for Fife leaving, that is what coaches do is build up a smaller program, get them good and then leave. Plus Dane just had a baby and absolutly loves Fort Wayne, as does his wife. I don't see him leaving just yet.

Yea Carson hasnt been able to find his shot the first couple of games, but I think he will be a player. That last game against Kent State was killer but you guys showed the Summit League your for real.
BTW Im a Kentucky fan that lives in Fort Wayne. IPFW has grown so much over the past couple of years. Oh yea, that bridge is pretty tite too.

C'mon, guys! Why can't we all just get along. I'm an IU grad who lives in Fort Wayne and I root like crazy for both the Hoosiers and the Dons. I loved watching Dane play at IU and I think he's gonna do some great things here and put IPFW on the college hoops map.
I guess the one thing we can all agree on is that PURDUE SUCKS!!!!!
Oh, and by the way DR LIONS, our closet seats 11,500, so there's plenty of room for you if you ever want to come visit.

Stein I do agree that I like seeing the Dons do good, but I am a Purdue Alum and as such I must remain a fan of the Boilers, no matter how much it hurts me to say that right now. IU does look good, but what will they do next year w/o Gordon and White. Purdue shows glimpses of being good and then they lose to Iowa State and Wofford, I mean come on. I am just so disappointed the last couple years with Purdue sports period, but I will always remain a fan. The only reason I picked IUSUCKS as my screen name is because it is fun to see these moronic IU fans come out of the wood work and fire back at me. I actually do root for IU, just not as much as I root for Purdue, being Alum and all. I grew up loving IU, but I wanted to get an engineering degree and we all know if you want to be an engineer you go to Purdue, not IU. As for DR. LION, go away, I am sure the kentucky or Duke boards would love to pick your immature and negligent remarks apart. It sounds to me like you are a closet homosexual who is looking for some toys in a closet to play with alone while no one is watching. Have fun with that. If your not sure who the Komets are then come up to the area and come enjoy a fun game of pick up hockey with us, trust me I will make sure you end up in the hospitial by the time the day is over!

Never had any hard feelings trust me. We can all get along, don't forget who came onto this board and started the trash talk. As for the Fury they have not been in fort wayne for years, since Isiah Thomas decided to run the CBA into the ground. Now we have the Mad Ants a member of the NBDL.
