Boise is putting some wins together and that should be recognized but winning the WAC is a whole different ballgame. When you have NMSU, Nevada, FSU and USU.....its not easy but good luck!
Also, whoever wins the WAC has to win in Las Cruces!

Boise State has a basketball program? Wow. I would never have guessed they could beat BYU. Should be a very interesting year. They usually just beat the patsies. Perhaps they are ready to finally make a run in the WAC.

youll need more than hawkins too beat boise st. this year. Reggie Larry will bring his A game. As a neutral avid all around college basketball fan and observer, I see Boise being at least second in the WAC this year. Lose to UTEP and North texas @ home? come on! Boise has the best record and has beaten a top 25 team. Con't pay attention to this fan. I have a very good hunch that the Taco Bell Arena will be roaring soon.

it was awesome seeing almost 9000 people in the stands, it would be awesome for boise if the basketball team could fill the arena.

travisford4UK, do me a favor and look up the RPI and strength of schedule of each of the WAC teams...
nevermind, i'll do it for you...
NMSU has played 10 teams in the RPI top 100...Boise State has played only ONE...UTEP is 9-2 with an RPI of 97 and North Texas is 9-3 with an RPI of 93 (out of 341 teams), so those were NOT bad losses...
NMSU's strength of schedule rank is 16, Boise State's is 265
Hawkins isn't the whole team...NMSU has 4 players averaging 10+ ppg...
sure, Boise has put some wins together, but the level of competition has been COMPLETELY different...
don't give them the WAC title just yet...

Bronco's win again!!! i dont think u get the point 1313 i think boise has a good shot at winning or at least doing better than fifth in the WAC. Its not very often BSU is 10-3 in basketball....this alone is something to be excited about. we can worry about SOS and all that other crap later in the season, but for now BSU is doing something that is unusual.

Where are you getting your stats from? CBSportsline stats show a totally different RPI and SOS. Which ten teams are in the top 100 RPI?
Ohio, Duke, UC Davis, Lemoyne Owen, Texas, West Virginia, UTEP (2), Chicago State, N. Texas, New Mexico (2), Prairie View A&M, Louisville, and Alcorn State?
Also, what happened up in Idaho, NMSU was leading 71-68 with only 1:36 left in the game. If you're struggling with Idaho, how are you going to win the WAC?
