Ok, I'll make a serious arguement since you didn't get my joke. Kentucky remained loyal to the Union during the civil war. Lousville is even on the northern border of Kentucky. Louisville is not a "southern city".

Now you're just making stuff up. Kentucky was a border state during the Civil War with a split government. For chrissakes, the President of the Confederacy Jefferson Davis was from Kentucky!

And yes, I'm well aware of southern Indiana's hatred for Kentucky, but your riverboats on the Ohio River don't seem to mind Kentucky's backwards gaming/liquor regulations.

Well if you claim to be "southern", then you obviously sided with the Confederates. In other words: YOU LOST.  As the winners, we get to decide whether or not you're city is considered "southern". I vote "NO"

p.s. I'm from central Indiana

I grew up in Lawrence, Kansas, an abolitionist stronghold. John Brown was our folk hero. I just went to school in Kentucky and then worked in Louisville for a couple years, and if there ever was a southern state, it's Kentucky (and that's not necessarily a compliment). Louisville is relatively urbane, but it's still southern. I live in Brooklyn, NY now.

Is Brownburg in Brown County? They have some great blackberry wine around there.

and if there ever was a southern state, it's Kentucky

I wasn't aware that "southern" and "uneducated" were synonyms. Just kidding, I have relatives in Kentucky and have enjoyed many pleasant stays in the state. I know Kentucky is quite a bit "southern" compared to Indiana, I just usually don't think of it as part of "The South".

No, Brownsburg isn't in Brown County.
