Uconn just signed Ater Majok, a 6-10 PF and big time recruit.  Most say he will make an immediate impact.   Rivals.com has him ranked as the number 3 PF in the class.  With Thabeet staying, Adrien, Stanley, Edwards, the other 7'1 signee UConn has some serious size.  Were also bringing in a great backcourt with Walker Miles and Haralson.  Last year we lacked outside shooting and all three will help fix that.  Plus Miles is 6-7 the one size we lacked.  After getting rid of some cancers, Kelly and Wiggins,  I am extremely optimistic about next year.  I know its early, but Final Four anyone!!??

I sure hope so, it has been far too long snce the last final four.  With the unbelievable amount of returning talent + an incredible recruiting class,  it makes me worry a little about getting all these kids enough playing time to keep everyone happy.  JC will have his work cut out to make all these studs accept their roles for the best interest of the team.  OK, Im done being devils advocate, this team is stacked and should be one of the top teams in the country!!  Cant wait for opening tip!!!  Go Huskies!!

yeah i just hope they can all gell,  we all know how calhoun plays 45 guys a game.  lets just hope to the this Haralson fella is a shooter like they say he is.  That is definitely one of the biggest things that this past years team was missing, a shooter.  Dyson was too inconsistent, i mean im sure the suspension didn't help him with his rhythem but the 08-09 team is

lets just hope this team can gell.  we all know how calhoun plays 45 guys a game.  and lets also hope that this Haralson fella is a shooter like they say he is.  That is one thing that this 07-08 team lacked was a consistent shooter.  The definetely have the size and the defense but what the team needs is a steady scorer.  With Dyson healthy and out of trouble, price healthy and now all of these big bodies and can do what they all say this team should be a contender for the national championship.  Smart for Thabeet to stay, I guess UConn has tought him something.

Uconn only has 4 more scholarships to give and we have 5 new recruits. Someone has to transfer or we will not be able to keep all of our 5 new recruits. Mandeldove is an embarrasment to D1 sports, and Beverly will enver see the court. Both of them should transfer immedietly and make room for players who can actually make an impact.

Nate Miles still needs to get cleared by the NCAA clearinghouse so potentially its only four new recruits.  Hoperfully he will get in tho.  I dont think Beverly is that awful, but I agree hes not going to make an impact.  Hes too slow, but he does play pretty good D and can make an open shot.  Mandeldove needs to gain 20 pounds and I think he can be ok also.  But I agree Id rather see one if not both of them transfer.

Please, Mandeldove will never be a good basketball player. He is by far the doofiest person I have ever seen on a basketball court. He cant even run or control his limbs, and frankly Im embarrased to say Im a UCONN fan watching him play. He NEEDS to transfer and will never be even an ok player

UCONN just got ranked #1 in the latest preseason poll by Rivals.com. The Big East dominates the Top 25 with 6 in the Top 15. So hopefully UCONN will live up to all the hype and convert it to a championship unlike the 2006 team.
