The "courts" are just now ruling that T.O. has to pay back Philadelphia bonus money?   How long ago was this...how far behind are our courts?    I could careless about T.O. paying the Eagles back.   As far as I am concerned a signing bonus is a signing bonus, don't give it if you will want it back.   The courts taking years and years and years to get to things is what concerns me.

Signing bonuses has restrictions and limitations. Of course you could care less because you are a cowgirl fan.  They deserve the money back after dealing with him  for 1/2 a season.

You seem to be a little confused.  An arbitrator ruled a while ago that Owens must repay that portion of his signing bonus to the Eagles.  At that time, no "court" was involved.  The arbitrator's ruling, however, is enforceable in court if Owens refuses to comply with the Arbitrator's Award.  It appears that Owens has refused to comply.  The Eagles have now sued Owens to enforce the Award.  The "courts" were never involved--until now.

Bruno, thanks for clarifying that one. You're absolutely correct - the arbitrator ruled in the Eagles favor, TO ignored the arbitrator, now they're suing to enforce the award. Exactly the kind of ignorance I'd expect from a Cowboys fan. I guess they're used to delays since the courts down there are too busy executing retarded people.

Ok idiot.  There is this thing called a court system.......and within this system, there are rules.   Now, since there already was an open judgement against TO for the hearing that already took place, the Eagles had to give Terrell Owens two years to either appeal or pay the judgement.  Now, since ample time has past, they can now act on another litigation which is exactly what they are doing.  As for the rightness of this suit, I back it 100%.  This should and must be done by ALL teams to keep the a-hole players (i.e. TO, Chad Johnson) from being in a contract and deciding if they feel like playing and for who.   When they get a ridiculous amount of money as a signing bonus (to stay under the salary cap) and don't NEED the money in the contract, what else is going to keep them from bailing on a team.......NOTHING because they have plenty of money.  You want to live the dream, then take the good with the bad and quit crying and play football!!

Phanaholic

I agree completely, plus anything that will keep TO fuming I am all for, he is a different player when he is agitated and it is not for the better even if he has an issue with the opposing team.
