The Eagles should be suing themselves for not winning a Super Bowl during the 5 year window they had while they were a good football team. Or, why not sue the Patriots for stealing their signals and cheating them out of a Super Bowl win. The Eagles have become a petty & bitter organization. Focus on the future and Andy Reids out-of-control kids, not T.O., live in the future and not the past.

Moneymann, the window is not closed yet.  It never is.  It's just a bit narrower is all.

Secondly, The Eagles did the class act move and came out with a statement that the Patriots won that game fair and square.  No one wants that tainted ring, the Patriots can have them.

Thirdly, this was decided a long time ago by a third party that T.O. breached his contract and was not entitled to the money.  It's not being petty, it's getting back what is owed.  If someone owed you a boatload of money, you would be going after it too.  Don't deny you wouldn't, because I know something about you that inherantly decides that you would.  It's called being human.

Fouthly, I think getting a first round pick and 2 more picks for this years draft with a single first rounder (and next's years Panther's pick is sure to be a Top 10 pick)  is also considered planning for the future.

Fifthly, Andy Reid's kids...who aren't kids, they're fricking adults, are no longer his problem.  They're in jail, and will be for a while.  The PA Penal System owns them until they get out.  What do the Eagles have to do, or ever have to do, with Andy Reid's kids  you idiot....nothing.

Finally.  You're an idiot, your comment is pointless and invalid, and stop being a hater.

Cowboys Record in 2008 (who cares, they won't win a playoff game anyways)

Blitzylvania,

Are you really Dave Spadaro in disguise??? You, him and maybe Eskin are like the biggest Eagles apologists on the face of the planet. Why do you fall for the garbage they continue to sell you on a yearly basis? The Eagles needed to put together a winning team to sell seat licenses for the new stadium. When they realized the NFC was a joke and it would only take one more player to go to the superbowl they lucked out and signed T.O.  WHAT HAVE THEY DONE SINCE???????????

Answer: Very Little! and guess what they'll continue to do? Very Little! Why can't you see this and stop defending them? You seem like an intelligent guy, stop buying their BS. They still run their team the way they have for the past decade which really goes to show how bad the NFC was. Now that the NFC is getting better, they've failed to make the playoffs for 2 out of 3 years. They will NEVER EVER take a gamble on a player for fear of maybe being wrong and even worse losing a bit of money. Do you know any person or organization that ever succeeded without taking risks? I don't.

You know why they went after Moss this offseason? Because it was a no-risk move that produced great PR. Why was it a no-risk move? Because Randy Moss only wants a ring at this stage in his career and wasn't leaving NE no matter how much $$ was thrown his way. Eagles knew this so there was no way that deal could blow up in their face down the road. In the meantime, they make fans like you still believe they're trying to improve their team with little stunts like that. If they could have, they would have tried to sell Randy Moss Eagle jerseys during that two day charade just to put a little coin in their pocket. Isn't it funny that the two WR's they made the most noise about were the two WR's that they had absolutly ZERO chance of getting: Moss and Fitzgerald. It sounded good though didn't it!!!

The funny thing about them lucking out with TO in '04 was that they really didn't get him, Baltimore did. Why? Because Andy and Banner just couldn't part with a 6th rounder to make the deal happen. it was too much of a risk to trade a 6th round pick to SF for a future hall of famer.

Now they could have Chad Johnson!!! Will they?? Do I need to even answer that? Too much of a risk and a paycheck. This is why you don't hear any noise about Johnson coming here.

The Giants take a huge risk getting Manning and win a superbowl. The Pats need WR's so they sign 3 free agents and go 16-0. The Cowboys take risks on TO, Tank Johnson, Leonard Davis, and now Pacman Jones. They also draft a RB in the first round even though they have a starting probowl RB. They're probablly favored to win the east this year. What have the Eagles done? they signed a CB!! Wow, look out, super bowl or bust. Please open your eyes and stop supporting this.

I do applaud your support for Ron Hextall and the Flyers. This is a team that should be supported at all times through thick and thin simply because they have an owner you can believe in. Ed Snyder wants a championship more than any fan in Philly and opens his wallet to do whatever it takes. I follow the Flyers and don't feel like I'm being treated like a moron with no common sense like the way the Eagles management makes me feel.

I'm done with the arrogant Eagles insulting my intelligence and so should you!!!

What garbage am I particularly falling for?  That I think that it's a somewhat good team that isn't on it's last ropes yet?  Say what you want about the "weak NFC" condition, but the Eagles have been among the top ranked teams in offense and defense (though each has varied) throughout the decade.  "Lucking out" really had nothing to do with T.O.  Remember, he wasn't signed to here.  He was traded from Baltimore if you remember that whole fiasco.  He was then re-signed.  But his actions pretty much gave Baltimore no choice.  Back to the topic though, I have no delusion of what this team is.  It has a hard time finding and/or getting the players it needs to make a run.  Do I think they've improved, yes.  Do I think it's enough, no.

How did Moss become part of this situation, really...I'm not getting why you're bringing this up besides trying to make me look like a fool, which you're going to fail at if you're trying to go down that path.  You think I didn't know it was a zero risk move?  I bet you didn't know that Moss's agent is a friend of Andy Reid.  It was also a move that the agent tried to get done so New England would be forced to offer up to or close to what the Eagles were offering, and they did.  I think the Eagles honestly thought it was a slight possibility to grab Moss, but they also had no delusion of what was going to happen anyways.  But there is no sense in not trying, what if NE didn't offer him anything...guess what, Moss would have taken the contract.  It's a BIG what if, but the possibility is always there.  You can not deny that, even if it is a chance of > .000001%.  I also had no delusion of Fitzgerald.  He's a smart player and definately wanted to get something done with the Cardinals.  But again, no sense IN NOT TRYING.  No delusions of the chance, but you have to try.  And to say they haven't tried anything else is absurb.  They have made offers to Detriot, and several offers to Cinncinati.  Again, no delusion, but they're trying.  There is only a small handful of these primetime WR's in the league, and they are extremely hard to come by.  Chances are low, and no delusion of such, but again, no sense in not trying.

Now they could have Chad Johnson!!! Will they?? Do I need to even answer that? Too much of a risk and a paycheck. This is why you don't hear any noise about Johnson coming here.

Nice to see you're covering all your bases for once.  Something you definately need to do when you're trying to talk to me.  Good job for once.  No noise?  What do you call the several offers made to the Bengals?  What do you call the countless (and rather annoying repeating threads) about it?  Seriously, open your eyes to that one.  They are trying.  They cut several players to make room for some big acquisitions this year.  Hell, Kearse was the highest paid player on the team, or one of the highest...I can't remember.  All I know is, when he was signed, he had the biggest contract and still had the biggest after the '05 season.

You honestly believe Eli Manning had much of a deal with them winning a Superbowl, please man, stop kidding yourself.  I give Manning props for having a good game, but in reality, he is a mediocre QB whose accuracy is worse then McNabb's.  The Giants are LOADED with talent before and after Tiki.  Their defensive front is downright scary and that is truely what won them the SB because they stopped a team that scored at will 18 games in a row.  If Rivers was playing for the Giants, the score would have looked something like 27-14 Giants, at least.  Does that mean Rivers is a great QB?  No, but I think he's better then Eli Manning in a lot of categories.  His stats and his supporting cast show why he's better then Eli, considering Eli's stats and Eli's supporting cast.  Remember, teams win Superbowls, not individuals.  Good coaching, which the Giants had in Coughlin and Spagnola really helped.  This is why the Cowboys flopped (besides the players choking) is that Wade Phillips SUCKS as a head coach.  Doesn't matter what talent a team has, Phillips SUCKS at and has always withen a couple years taken a SB contender to a team fighting to break .500.  Don't believe me, look at his track record.

Secondly, the Eagles yes signed a CB.  An area in which they were really bad at because their usual #1 CB can not stay healthy.  That's why they are trying to trade him for another player who will give them something they also have a problem with.  Scoring.  Yardage is not the problem, especially in the passing game.  Scoring is though because the receivers they currently have can not create seperation in the red/endzone.  This is why they have targeted primetime WR's, even though as stated before the chance is very unlikely, you have to try.  Failing to do isn't on them, it's on the other team that does what they have to do to keep them there.

Thirdly, who are you to call me out and tell me to stop supporting this?  THEY'RE MY FAVORITE TEAM!!! I'll support them as I please.  Am I being arrogant though in saying that?  Hell no, you're arrogant for calling me out for supporting my team.  I'm not delusional to the fact they have failed.  Whoopity do, I can live with that because after all, it is just a game.  But I can still show my passion, and use my intelligence to make my comments based on facts and analysis.  On top of that, what was your entire point bringing up all these points in the first place?  I bet it's just because you wanted to call out an Eagles fan and maybe somehow point out that the franchise was wrong in making their decisions on how to make a contract with T.O.  Guess what, you failed.  I brought up points to counter someone's obviously biased and stupid remarks.  You come along and bring up every other piece of info that had nothing to deal with this situation.  You calling us arrogant?  You're the arrogant one that is trying to stir up crap.  Maybe you just one someone to admit that they think the Eagles won't win it all this year?  If that's what you want, then fine.  I think the chance of them actually doing it is close to 0.  In fact, they have a 1/32 chance.  But my points from my previous post stand.  Whatever T.O. has done in Dallas so far, is absolutely squandered in the fact they have not won a single playoff game since gaining him, have only beaten the "lowly" Eagles once.

I'm done with the arrogant Eagles insulting my intelligence and so should you!!!

You were never a fan to begin in the first place, so why does it matter?  How is it insulting my intelligence if I don't believe they're gonna win it all?  I only had 2 years in this decade I thought it might happen ('03 and '04).  Well 3, because last year I had high hope for Reggie Brown and his performance was sorely lacking and caused the problem with no seperation and/or scoring in the redzone/endzone.  I thought McNabb might have been as good as he was in the final month, I overestimated.  It happens, and it happens because we're fans.  Every single Patriots fan last year overestimated their team (just slightly though) that it was going to be a perfect season.  Every Cowboys fan overestimated their team because their team failed to win a playoff game.  I overestimated (and I'm sure many of my fellow fans) the Steelers because I thought they were the only team in the AFC that had a chance to beat the Patriots (when in fact, they never got the chance).  The Colts fans overestimated their team because they thought they would repeat.  And Packers fans overestimated their team in thinking that Brett Farve was going on one last hurrah and leave the game of football at the top.  This is called being a fan.  Does that make them idiots for believing in their team?  HELL NO!  I am not tricked by the Eagles, I know what they're doing.  I also know they aren't succeeding in all their plans.  But I believe they're not far off again.  Their defense is going to be absolutely sick this year.  I have no doubts.  Hell, what would say then if that actually carried over to a SB win?  Defense does win championships (see the Giants, whose team won because of defense and a solid offense filled with many really really talented players).

Thanks for the comments on Hextall.  He has been and always will be my favorite hockey player of alltime.  I have 5..or 6? jerseys.  I can't remember.  A regular one, a 70's throwback, an away jersey, an autographed regular one, a black one (the modern style, had it custom made as soon as the Flyers came out with the new style so I could wear it all that season)....ok, I guess 5.  thought I had one more, but counting them only 5.

Lastly though, I just don't understand why you feel the need to call someone out in a topic that is totally off the point of the thread.  Honestly, I don't want to know either.  All my points were valid, and you just tried to come out and insult my intelligence and put me down.  Congratulations, you failed.
