I understand the Congressman's frustration. I feel it too. But a playoff will never happen as evidenced by the University presidents recent desicion that even a plus-1 would hurt the "academics" of football players. B(C)S! The bottom line is that as long as the BCS and the bowls pay millions of dollars to the NCAA will we continue to get an iligitimate national champion as we have since they started naming 1 years ago. I would say since the BCS is all we are getting they should change it to the champions of the 6 "BCS" conferences and then make the 2 wild-cards  the best champions of non-bcs conferences. That way every school has a shot at the B(C)S.

I just hate knowing that my tax dollars are being spent to figure out alternatives to the BCS and Baseball steroids....only in America!

Personally I don't think congress should get involved, but I am not concerned with the idea that my "tax dollars are being spent to figure out alternatives to the BCS and Baseball steroids". To me this is a distraction that keeps congress from spending more of my tax dollars on other stuff. At least this way we are only out the salaries of the congressmen, and not additional pork.

I just hate knowing that my tax dollars are being spent to figure out alternatives to the BCS and Baseball steroids....only in America! whatever.  i'll gladly pay my tax dollars to be spent to reslove an issue that really matters to me.  hell, most of my tax dollars right now are spent on our country taking over another country and trying to force them into democracy.  i didn't get to vote on that one!
