I'm not too concerned about his lack of offense.  I think Nevada will have plenty of talented offensive players to more than carry the load.  I like that he is an aggressive defender with an ability to block shots and rebound.  That is really what Nevada needs.  He will get his offense on put backs.  We just need him to defend.

I wish he was a little taller.  He's listed at 6'8".  But, I've read elsewhere that he's 6'7".  I'd like to see Nevada pick up a legitimate center - ideally someone 6'10 - 7'0"".

Nevertheless, he was a great addition to this recruiting class.  Things are looking good.  I hope Fox uses the final scholarship wisely.

Hey guys. Leave it up to freeswilli to post exactly what I was thinking. We don't need too much scoring out of him with all the potential sharp shooters that will be on the floor. Supposedly he is a beast on the defensive end. If he's only 18 then there is a good chance he will get taller. Definately bigger.

BTW silvernblue, it's about time to get rid of that avatar of yours...lol. I almost want to say good riddance.

I think this is a great pick up. Best case scenario, he will become a Paul Milsap type player. Rebounds every ball that comes near him, and can score some too. He has a really nice frame and should fill our nicely. He may be 6'8", but I'd rather have 6"8" rebounding machine than another David Ellis. And as long as he doesn't get scored on 66% of the time like McGee things will be all good.

I'm sure Fox is looking for another Big man, but don't be suprised if we just go with best player available. Just a thought.

And thanks Howlz, I forgot that was still my avitar. I'm going old school with my new one. All of you had better know who he is.

Cheers!

Nice SnB! It's none other than Deshone Myles. LB extaordinaire from the 90's Too bad his NFL career was cut short b/c of injuries. Arguably the best defensive stud the Wolf Pack has ever had. We could sure use another one like him.

Good Man. You're right on about having more like him. I was supprised when they gave Mauga #30, but he has represented the number pretty well.

Cheers!
