I think this is excellent. That is, universities dropping these kids for this kind of behavior when it's criminal. The OT is going to juco to regain academic eligibility. Nothing wrong there with that. It's not a crime to make poor grades in school. But the cheating scandal and drugs/guns, that's on the student not the university. The beauty of America, people get opportunities, they are even allowed mistakes and errors in judgement. But sometimes the mistakes and error in judgement are beyond gross stretches of what society deems as acceptable behavior. Hanging the university for providing opportunities is wrong, I applaud FSU for being impartial in that regard, it's embarrassing for sure, but what can you do, these student-athletes can't be baby sat 24/7. When they mess up, let the wheels of justice turn, it all works out in the end.
