Of course I'm being sarcastic but, I do love the notion that because we complain like everyone else does, we are whiny bitches. This coming from a city that starts fist fights during games for the hell of it and will start city wide fires on a whim. The NBA said they made a mistake with the clock in game 2 (NO SH!T SHERLOCK!) but, why don't they do anything about it? J.A. Adande pointed out today that when the NBA made a mistake in fouling out Shaq in a game in Atlanta this season they went back and replayed from the point of the foul. Why is it that they would do this for a regular season game and not a playoff game? If this had happend to Detroit there would be no bitching, just RIOTS.

I agree, and why one of the other two officials didn't see this and rule this play so that they could fix the clock is a load of crap. Seeing how the NBA said the officials did everything in their power to fix the situation was total BS. That was the major detriment to us losing the other night. For the fear of riots, the refs gave the basket to the Pistons because if they didn't, then we wouldn't have countless of posts as to why the basket should have counted. These refs are scum.

Congrats on the win Orlando. You guys played a great ball game shooting a high percentage and controlling the ball. Hopefully for Detroit fans Chauncey will be back in game four and help make it a good game.

As for the game clock incident, I think it was more of the NBA's mistake than the refs. I don't understand why they would not allow a review at the end of every quaryer on something like this. Yes it may have taken another five minutes but at least they would have gotten it right.

As for your suggestions to replay from where the mistake happened, I can understand where you are coming from. However, with Shaq fouling out, that actually came at the end of the game and it took their best player out. If the three actually came at the end of the fourth quarter then by all means, replay.

Lets take a look at this from another angle though. Lets imagine the game clock worked correctly and Billups took it all the way to the basket and ran over Evans for a blocking call for an "and 1" with .2 seconds left. It was a terrible call though, Evans feet were planted 2 seconds before Billups even got there and he was well outside the circle. In other words, it was clearly a charge and was one of the worst calls anybody has seen all season. So Chauncey make the free throw to make it a three point play to end the quarter. Obviously any right fan would be frustrated with this call, however, I highly doubt anybody would look back at the refs mistake in the third quarter days later and say that is why our team lost. Fans would chalk it up to a terrible call (Lord knows we are used to seeing them), point it out to a few fellow fans and be done with it. Yes, my example is much different than what actually happened, but the end result was the same. Both were human errors that ended up in a three point play.

In the end, we all know Orlando was good enough to still win the game even after that call. They just weren't good enough that night.

In regards to the "riot" comments.....Yes, Detroit is a city of high crime in certain areas. I go down there on occasion and I just know where to avoid. Similar if I went down to Orlando there are certain stretches of Orange Blossom Train Road I would avoid. Yes, you made your point. Detroit fans would have obviously felt cheated at the time as well if the call had been reversed. But, to say they would riot, you and I both know that is a little bit of an exaggeration.

Anyways, congrats again on the W and good luck in game 4.

Are you serious? There was a riot in the stands a couple years ago in detroit, for no reason at all. Detroit will will burn the city to the ground because the calendar says its October 30th. We already know that piston fans can't behave, its on video.

Calm down Rebel Fan!  You and I both know that these people posting messages about Detroit fans and their city are speaking out of ignorance.  Of course there is good and bad everywhere you go but you know there are a lot of great people and fans in Detroit.  Try to forgive these people who know not what they are talking about!  I'm sure some of these people also stereotype others because of their looks, race, and other things that people shouldn't be judged by.

I don't think its ignorance, its more like first hand experiences. I understand that there are good people in Detroit but, Pistons pride themselves on being "bad" and piston fan takes it to another level. You take your cues from your team and act like morons (November 19, 2004).

i am a diehard Pistons fan and always will be, mayb we got some calls our way.... but a 4-1 series victory after game 5 obviously shows the superior team, common now, we destroyed u guys in game1, beat u in game 4 witou mr bigshot and beat u by 7 in game 2 wit a phantom three i understand, but do u honestly think u had a chance in this series? do u believe u would have won game 2 in detroit in the 4th or even played well enough in the 4th to take the game, good luck next year orlando, enjoy golfing
