I don't believe fat, drunk and stupid is what the Yanks need right now....Hank seems to have cornered the market on that already..

LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I couldn't have typed that better, Dirt.  Perhaps no one has informed Wells that 1998 was a long time ago.  He really isn't loved in NY anymore.

At this point in his career, Wells is a 4-5 inning AL pitcher.  He'd be even worse than Clemens was last year.  PASS!

It would be about time if you asked me. Yankees have gone too long without having a counter to the Bartolo Colon signing

At this point he may not even be a 4 to 5 Innings Triple A pitcher!

ahhh, I'll say this much, he's a strike machine but it's where the strikes end up , lol...  he can pitch innings but who wants 7 innings of 7 runs

Sorry about that Steel.  I was reading the board quickly while I was at work.  I think I saw the question about where Paydirt and then your post and then just mashed them together.  Sometimes I have to type fast at work because it will go from dead to busy as hell in the pharmacy in a matter of minutes.

In any case, the Yankees sure as HELL do not need David Wells back unless he pitches for a HUGE discount (like $1 million).  it was fine when he came back to the Yankees in 2002 and 2003, but he really hasn't been good the last few years.  I hope the Yankees learned somthing from the Roger Clemens signing last year.
