Busty is such an idiot. Jocketty's got to step in at some point and teach him how to make up a frickin lineup. Or, we can have a 5 year old little girl make the lineup. There would be a better shot of there being a lineup of competence.

Seriously. I can understand giving Brandon Phillips the day off because he's hurt. But Joey Votto? He's our best hitter right now and he's young, so it's not like he's going to be worn out. Seems like he does something moronic at least once a day.

A ball that drops IN FRONT OF Adam Dunn is a double...

Does Jacoby watch these guys hit?! I'm so tired of getting runners on with two outs, then we get out on the first pitch. Have some frickin patience at the plate!

I normally lead the charge with bitching about this Reds team but for todays Game 2, so far, bottom of the 7th as I type this, our boy Bronson Arroyo has given up only one run to a seriously dangerous Mets lineup. Can we talk about that instead of the wrong? I mean, we are going to have plenty of wrong to bitch about this year but with the god awfullness Arroyo has shown at times this season, I would rather talk about how he is pitching a pretty damned good ballgame right now, 2nd part of a double header or now...credit where credit is due.

Agreed, Arroyo is pitching one hell of a ballgame. The announcers on TV said he was dealing with some back problems earlier in the season. That's the first I've heard of that, and I hope that's what caused him to be so ineffective. Even if he can pitch like he did last year, that would be a huge improvement over what he's done now. And with Johnny Cueto and Edinson Volquez in the rotation, it makes us that much better if he can put things together. Now if only we can find a good #5 starter...

And another thing, we've, myself included have been slamming Hatteburg all year as well, and he just got another hit and RBI. Kudos where its due. Nice game Hattie. Arroyo, keep it rolling. I think a big thing for this game is also getting Francisco Cordero in there for a save opportunity and for him to slam the door. He's had little to no work this year and we need him in the groove.

Nice game by Arroyo tonight. Hopefully, whatever has been going on with him is over, and he can move forward now and start helping instead of hurting the team.
GO, Reds!!
