Im guessing he hit 48 dingers.

I know its early, but it will be nice for him to keep doing what he is doing and make it interesting to see if he can keep it up and make talk about if he can pull off the Triple Crown.

46 to 48- has protection for the first time in career- REAL PROTECTION..(or at least since Bagwell has been gone)

45-49.

A) his high is 45, and I'd love to see him top that.

B) he's never had players like this both above AND below him in the lineup

C) as a result of that, he's not going to get the IBB quite as much this year as in some other years where he was (a distant) second to Bonds in that category.... no, this year... Pujols gets the Bonds/Berkman treatment more than Lance does, thankfully.

D) I, too, hope for the triple crown. Or even 2 legs of it, if not all three. I think he can totally take the RBI/Homer sides. The batting average is my only question. He just raised it from 382 to 393 tonight, but he can't always go 3/4, as awesome as this streak has been (case in point: Sunday, where he went 1/4).

He hit another one today in the 9th to give Houston the lead, and I presume the win.  He has 15 HR's already and has been the best hitter in baseball.  Glad he is on my fantasy team!

When everything is all said and done, Berkman may be the face of the Astros franchise.  I know it's Bagwell right now, but the way he is going, he could be the all-time Houston leader in all the major offensive categories that Bagwell holds now.
